He was my Uncle. He had 1 sister and 2 brothers. Between Blake, Norma, Don and my grandfather Leslie, the one I am named after, Don was the most learned man I have ever met in my life, A true Renaissance man. My grandfather was a hero, and after surviving the horrors of WW2 and liberating a concentration camp he went back to Farming. A man of many talents, but someone who exuded a quiet dignity and a calming spirit. He was, and always shall be the single greatest person I have ever known. Norma was an interesting character, not one bound by the conventions of the day and was successful and quite wealthy in her old age and loved to travel, I think the only continent she did not set foot on was Antarctica. Blake was as the film depicted, a character. However his lifestyle made family connections tenuous at best, not one to stay in any one place for too long. I suppose the best way to describe Blake after his passing is an independent spirit, whose artistic talent was as grand as his aloof nature. I think in my entire life, I probably spent less than a month accumulated in his presence, where I was essentially inseparable from my grandfather. Each of them was different and yet equally impressive from a certain point of view.
