louis said that the songs made before walls were made when he was still in the mindset of chasing radio. it wasn't necessarily the sound he personally wanted to go towards, it was just what he gravitated towards at first because it was sort of the path of least resistance for him, so to speak. that's why just like you sounds pretty different than any of the stuff on the album. you could also check out back to you and just hold on; they have a similar vibe.
