@@elizabethflores9547 solo esta aclarando que no son notas “raras” como dice Blake en el video, sino que son notas que se usan mucho en medio oriente. La influencia Pakistani se nota mucho en la musica de Zayn y eso es genial. 1- porque muestra orgullo de donde viene, ya que el es britanico-pakistani y 2- porque la la escala de notas que ocupan es esos paises es realmente hermosa y diferente. Es una de las cosas por las que me gusta tanto Zayn, se destaca de los demas cantantes occidentales.

those kinda vocal runs that zayn does are pretty common in desi music (indian, pakistani music). he's pretty in touch with his pakistani roots through culture so he uses the techniques usually seen in our south asian music in his music, too!

It should be noted that this is Ingrid’s song. That Zayn was a ‘guest’ collaborator. She wrote it and had it ready to go before he was involved. It’s a beautiful duet but would love to see Ingrid get the credit and recognition she so well deserves.

I love your reactions, I learn something new about the songs I love. What's under the hood type of stuff, makes me appreciate it all more. The true artistry, and why it affects the listener as much as it does. The notes at the end, are inspired by South Asian music, which makes it all more relatable for me, because you know this language of music from childhood. He doesn't have any classical training of the raags either, but Pakistani musicians especially, aren't mostly classically trained, they focus more on the raw emotions. So I love when he experiments and brings in this extra layer of emotion.
