What do you think of EAEA? Is it in your top 10? 🥰✨

Thank you for your reaction, you have really missed by not putting the English subtitles of the video, the meaning of the poetic lyrics. On the other hand, tell you that this is pure Spanish art, original and that it has nothing to do with Chanel, it is a risky bet, but at least for us Spaniards and many Europeans who know Flamenco well, it is fabulous. For me, Top 3 at least And if not, we'll see.🏹🕊 Blanca Paloma es la mejor voz del festival sin duda ninguna.

First of all, the video has English subtitles, you just have to activate them. Second: thanks for your honest opinion, it really is a risky song with flamenco and an electronic base, sounds that have been taking place in Spain since before Rosalía was born, but for foreigners it can be hard to listen to at first and maybe that's why it doesn't get much televoting, but we're proud because we know it's good and original (regardless of whether they know how to appreciate it). In Israel it has been a hit, especially because Blanca Paloma has an incredible live show and has done different versions for the different pre parties (acoustic, new intro, ritual dance break at the end of the song, etc.), proving that the song is very versatile. It is not a song to listen to in the car, it is to enjoy and let yourself be carried away by your eyes and ears until you reach a trance. Loreen herself is an unconditional fan of the song and considers Blanca Paloma as a "sister", spiritually because of the healing of this song.

The song itself (music, singing, clapping) is a bulería, kind of a specific 'subgenere' of flamenco with a modern twist of an electronic beat. The topic and the lyrics come from the POV of a woman singing a lullaby, trying to put her crying baby to sleep ('Eaea' is a cooing sound in Spain) The performance and staging are the ones of a ritual, summoning her ancestors. Specially her late grandma, wich this song is inspired by and dedicated to, because she taught and used to sing flamenco and lullabies to her. The repetitive pattern of the beat, backing vocals and rythmic clapping are intended to be entrancing and hypnotizing for connecting with the energy of the experience. Her hand movements work as a praise and a calling to the above. The red threads are a reference to the fringes of a traditional 'mantón' (shawl) simbolizing protection, motherhood, in fact she said it could be seen sort of womb-shaped. Actually she worked as a costume and stage set designer, as she did here too. The white circle represents the moon, where, as the lyrics say, she wants to be buried in when she dies, so she will be able to watch over her child everynight but one ('newmoon') First she kneels looking up, later she kneels again looking downwards, always with a reaching hand. Then she shoots a flaming arrow and lights it on fire (red pulsing light, heartbeat, blood, death) Finally the priestess gets on the shrine to end the ritual in ecstasy.
