Weren't we? And probably didn't even know it. But knew good music when we heard it. I like that:"when we were young & beautiful". Cool.

@@robin9876 Agree...late bloomer, voice was barely cracking at 18, tall and super thin but never realized what a handsome guy I was back then. Now theres this old washed up 80s leftover looking back at me in the mirror. Wth haha.

I heard the Blancmange Mega-Mix on late night radio in the 80's, and it included part of this, and it changed my life forever.

Never heard the hint of raggae in the 80s. Man the guys over the pond absolutely CRUSHED the synth/new wave music. Was and still am a rocker/metal head but still loved this stuff. KROQ KLOS KMET

56.. Guy I worked with a few yrs ago was a 25 yr younger 80s music geek. Dude hated my guts but we would talk about this music all night. He was a "Mod" and even had a vintage Vespa. Lotsa culture back then and none of them clashed.

love them, they never got the respect they deserved, (IMO, its cause on few tracks they "went too much "Talking Heads" grooves at times, and that time, caused confusion.

I didn't have this version, and I don't remember hearing it, but when I covered it, I did some of these bass progressions (when I played it on bass guitar) that are different from the canonical single version. I'm not that instinctive a bass player, so I feel like I must have internalized this version without realizing it.
