There's a good reason for the Husky having a windscreen - it reduces the bug splatter on the pilot's front teeth ;-)

Wow. Congratulations Captain Browne on acquiring this beautiful Husky. When Cabela's opened their Fort Worth store I met Dick and Mary Cabela and General Chuck Yeager. I was so thrilled to shake the hand of General Yeager that I was in tears hardly believing this was true. It seems to me that senior pilots have something in common all being well spoken and exceptionally bright. It was a privilege to "meet" the original owner of your Husky and to listen to a few accounts even though brief. I would encourage you bring him back as you do periodically with Dan. These are wonderful individuals as you are Juan. Many thanks.

I believe you are ten years off on your date of the first Husky. I ferried a new one out of the factory in '87. In 85 I was delivering an S 2S to be refurbished and General Mgr Herb Anderson got angry with a factory worker that had accidentally walked me through the area where the prototype was being built. He calmed down after I showed no interest in it. (I thought they were rebuilding a PA12 !) Beautiful airplane Juan. I don't care what the Super Cub snobs say, I'd be proud to own any Husky.

Thanks Juan for the tour. My old Quicksilver MX wasn’t really good at cross country flying. I realized just recently that what I really used it for was as an elevator. Almost always went right back where I started from! Went up like a homesick angel. Trim with throttle, and it flew hands off. No pesky instruments or prop to spoil the view! Proves the rule; all aircraft excel at one particular thing that is design dependent. You put a smile on my face, and a song in my heart! N.E.OH Bob

Juan, your Husky is a beauty with a great history; yet, it looks new! You have every right to be proud of bringing that airplane back to NV. Juan, I’m happy for you! That composite prop is a jaw droppipng thing of beauty; and the teak and holly sole is rather yachty--different in a plane. Also, I watch hours and hours of aviation videos, and rarely do KZbinrs include departure briefings in their videos. Some vloggers might think it’s boring to include the departure briefing, but doing so can act as a teaching moment for aviators. I love that you practice what you preach!

This was great Juan! I’ve toured the Aviat facility (and flew a new Husky) in Afton and it is quite the place. For someone like ourselves who eat, drink and sleep airplanes it’s like a kid in a candy store. I did some aerial drone filming at the Cessna factory in Wichita for the release of the Citation Longitude and was able to tour the Cessna facility. Which don’t get me wrong, it was absolutely amazing, but the Aviat factory just has a indescribable ambiance about it (not to mention security isn’t so high lol). It’s more of a touchy feely type place of which I cant get enough. Living in the SLC area, its quite close and we do a ton of snowmobiling up there so I have been lucky enough to get to know and become friends with many of the local airplanes guys. Of course this area is full of them because well, the Aviat factory is about all there is in Afton.😂 As a side note....our hundred dollar hamburger is the Rocky Mountain Seafood restaurant. We fly up there wet often just to get their shrimp bread, but everything is great there. Weird I know, but yes, there is an amazing seafood joint bfe Afton Wyoming.😂 Anyone that is been there knows how strange this seems. Sorry for the novel, but this one hits close to home. Keep up the good work and be safe!

I got to fly a brand new one of these a couple of weeks ago because of a very generous owner. The fit and finish is incredible. It flies like it's a little heavy, and high pitch forces through the stick suggest the one I flew was perhaps a bit nose heavy. Very solid and safe feeling aeroplane, and luxurious as a bush plane can be. It's a flying Range Rover. Like Juan I also used to have a Luscombe, and TBH, I prefer that. It's lighter, sweeter handling, and will get in and out of mostly the same runways, as long as you don't have a fat copilot or want to take anything like the luggage the Husky is capable of.
