I did this a few years ago. I also followed 90th ID. Two things I did differently were to remove the locking surface on the slide and barrel. I opted to use the barrel link. I also enlarged the ejection port to remedy the stove piping. I, of course, sourced a new slide and barrel.

What made you decide to modify the slide as well, and to use the link? I'm always open to learning!

@cvaughn3706 I found that I was experiencing stove pipe failures during extraction. I used the link because the barrel would get stuck in the barrel bushing. Even after opening it up. I removed the slide locking area because I was concerned about barrel integrity. Also, it removed material that was impending the barrel during recoil.
