I was a chauffeur for 6 years. One of the best tips I got was from a gentlemen I picked up at LAX going up to Santa Barbara we had a great conversation about various spirits on our way to S.B. Then just before getting to our destination he asked me to pull into a Bevmo store in Ventura. When he came out he gave me my first bottle of Blantons. What an awesome gesture!

I live in Woodford County Kentucky nor far from Frankfort where Blantons is made and bottled. I’m not a big bourbon drinker but about 25 years ago, a friend asked me to participate in a blind bourbon tasting for a local magazine. Of about 5 different bourbons, I chose Blanton’s as my favorite. Enough of the other tasters also chose Blanton’s for it to win the tasting. I was intrigued so my friend and I went to the distillery to see how it was made. I’m not sure if the distillery was sold or not but back then it was owned by Ancient Age. Everything about how the bourbon was made and aged was the same as the bourbon from the other warehouses but the bourbon aged in the one particular warehouse described in this video produced a much superior bourbon. The gentleman who conducted us through the tour said that the warehouse was located close to the Kentucky river and the cool morning air that comes off the river was the reason this warehouse produced such a superior bourbon. I live on a horse farm about 15 miles from Frankfort, where the distillery is located and often when I come out in the morning I can smell the bourbon mash even that far away.

What does a bottle of blantons go for in Kentucky? Is it hard to find?
@Penekamp113 жыл бұрын
@@MrGmed1990 Very hard to find. The MSRP is around $65 but you’re lucky to find one for anywhere close to $100. The bourbon market has exploded in Kentucky. It seems like everybody and his brother has opened a new bourbon label. I’ve never seen anything like it before. There have never been so many different brands of bourbon on the market before. People are just buying a few barrels of bourbon and slapping a name on the bottle and presto you’ve got a new brand of bourbon. I can’t see how it will last. All the best brands go to Japan.

Glyphosate is used before the corn is planted, like in April. It is used so that No Till can be done, which does not disturb the soil. Farmers (like my brother) drive a grain drill over it that just fires a seed into a slit. The glyphosate is long gone once the corn plant emerges. It is then harvested 5 to 6 months later when the corn has matured and dried on the stalk.
