@@alexyoung6474​​⁠aw man this explanation will be rough LMAO: So House (the doctor played by Hugh Laurie) is in a kindergarten when he asks the kid that, the reason he asks is because he’s dealing with a patient who’s 6 and going through super early puberty, and the daycare/kindergarten she’s in has had a couple of patients appear in his hospital going through early puberty. He is trying to figure out why this is happening and the father of one of the kids says something like “well if it was my daycare I’d know” but he’d been in the hospital for several days, so House asks “how would you actually know if you aren’t there tho” so House goes to investigate as he suspects these kids are having an exposure to hormones. The exposure was caused by the dad, who is having an affair with one of the daycare workers who’s much younger than him, the dad was using a testosterone cream which leaves the body through sweat and every time he touched his kids he was exposing them to hormones, causing the early onset puberty Which is why he asked the famous question “do you have hair in your special place”, because House had zero filter and didn’t care how young/old someone was, he would just bluntly ask you a question. The episode is called “act your age” I hope that made sense!
