I looked up those diseases. They're real nasty things! They're horrendous! I'm just so glad the developers didn't add those animations because people would be wailing in pain and bleeding from the eyes! But also, come on: if you're going to add a mechanic, make it so that it works well or gives something to the game play, not just be a background noise.

I would love to see the game play it out where patients in bed that are suppose to isolated, dont just get themsheves up and wonder the ward looking for tiolets or filling their needs, or collaspe patient hooked up to life monitors dress in their going home clothes to use the tiolets, then back in bed.. I do think the patients should be clothes in robes/hospital clothes so that we can tell those that are visitors, or living in a ward to cure their illness before discharge.

The air doors are indeed just a whole in a wall. It works by lowering the air pressure in the isolation room itself. This results that it is only possible for air to flow into the room through the air door and not out of the room. This is done to keep viruses inside the room themselves. It is also possible to reverse the purpose of an isolation room. Sometimes patients are isolated who's natural defense system is lowered. Meaning all viruses and diseases should kept out of the room. For this they increase the air pressure inside the room and air is only able to flow out of the room (through the air door).

I understand these rooms are used for both kinds of patients and how air flow can be used to keep the room as desired. However, these rooms still have doors. Hygienic hermetically sealing sliding doors to be more precise. Air flow can then help reduce air displacement when moving through, as does the sliding aspect of the door over a normal hinged door. 'Air doors' are generally holes in walls that still have doors but need to remain open for long periods, such as a loading dock door or a supermarket. They use large fans, sometimes to heat but also to help reduce things like insects coming in and such. Certainly not good enough for something as important as infectious isolation in a medical facility. In some cases keeping the air correct inside a room like this can be so important, that airlocks are even installed so that displacement can't upset the space even minimally. They couldn't be bothered to animated a sliding door.

It is to do with distribution of air when the door opens. Pressures and such, but they still have doors.

It would be nice to see the nurses/doctors/technicians that are in contact with those patients to wear hazmat suits. Also hope the devs can make those walls, full walls?

Blarla is being kinda negative lol, but remember it's only a £4.00 DLC, so what can you expect for such a cheap price :/ Blarla has built an awesome hospital though :)

You can expect and should expect something that adds gameplay when it is an official DLC from the developers you paid for. This DLC is no better or worse than mods you can download for free from the workshop. As the developers, they should be bringing something new to the title. They didn't. I've got nothing more to show of this DLC, the gameplay is exhausted, already. There is no episode today because there is no series to be had out of this DLC. The whole point of this DLC is contagions, spreading pandemics and the challenge of containing them, None of that is here. If they executed this DLC well, I'd pay more than £5. But they made a workshop mod at best.

Just gonna say this ... Benny Masterstroke and Charlotte Cougar! These are the easter eggs I love spotting in your videos! How crazy would it have been if you had to isolate your staff members and have them out of service for a day or more. I agree that mechanic would have made this playthrough (and your attempts at infecting everyone) way more exciting. Still it was fun learning about all the diseases ... Keep em coming!

Hello Blarla, I wonder in building your infectious ward, being that it is for infectious contagious illness, can you build tiolets in every room instead of using the prebuilt fab. Those dont have tiolets and so it makes the infectious patients walk the halls to use one outside of the isolation area and that is not so realistic. The same goes for the regualar wards they need at least 2 tiolets in the room/ward so that they dont have to use the restrooms out in reception which is spreading diseases outside of the wards.

Wards on other departments have them. I have since finished building my ID department and there is a toilet on the ward. I wanted to do bathrooms in the isolation rooms but space is a big factor in the hospital now. Not to mention I'm so disappointed with this DLC that I lack the inclination to find the space. Contagions don't spread in this DLC, unless a contagious patient is specifically on the regular ID ward and in no other situation. Even then, when a couple of members of staff become 'ill', the game shuts down any further possible spread, so realism isn't a concern here, especially not for the devs of this DLC. I don't think patients in isolation rooms leave anyway, like trauma and ICU. So them needing their own toilets is not needed even for that realistic edge. I don't really go for realism as such. I like some realistic thoughts as I make my designs but it is mostly based around how the game works and designing the hospital to take best advantage of those game mechanics. Hope this helps. With the next DLC which could be helicopters and a more involved trauma department, I might then redesign everything on the top floors anyway. 👍

Yeah, Project Hospital is a bit niche. Parkitect is a bit more fun and certainly more creative. A little bit longer to go with PH, but not too much more I reckon. I think I have decided the next series to replace PH, been planning it somewhat already. :)

I struggle with making money in project hospital is there any tips

I think I have three that work well for me: 1. Working through the insurance policies is the first best. 2. In young hospitals that are struggling, even while working on insurance, and if my wards don't ever fill up (or add a bunch of beds) and I need cash, I start hospitalising patients that don't really need it near the end of the day until the ward is almost full. Leaving maybe 1 bed free, just in case. This way, the following day, you get a huge chuck of cash from those leaving the wards. 3. Once the events are unlocked, trigger them often. They always give a good sum, generally around 20k for each event completed. In my opinion, this is the single best way to get doubloons when you need it. ^^
