I so agree with you about Mon Guerlain. To me it’s very heavy and harsh. I don’t like it until the deep dry down. I don’t understand the hype around it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So many of these are loves for me. I don't mind Mon Guerlain, but I can see that the lavender can be over-powering for some. Maybe try Mon Guerlain Intense, it has a lot more vanilla. I've had mine for maybe 2 years now and it's become really dark, like a dark brown. I'm enjoying it a lot more now. Rouge Smoking I love on its own. But I also love to layer it with La Nuit Tresor A La Folie by Lancôme 😭

Jasmine Rouge smelled amazing on someone else so I purchased but yikes wasn't for me! 😭 I gifted to a family member! No regrets getting rid of Jasmine Rouge. I keep trying to love Mon Guerlain but I just can't get into it on the level that it's hyped up amongst the people who love it. Beautiful fragrance but I just don't smell what everyone else does. I keep trying anyway LOL! Rouge Smoking will forever be a love of mine. but I totally understand that one not being loved by the masses and the longevity isn't great however I'm still obsessed lol.

Even just hearing Lipstick On mentioned makes me tear up. It is literally one of my favorite scents and I am holding onto the bottle I have sentimentally. Over time the vanilla has darkened it and made it even better smelling and I can not find anything like it at all. All the recommendations I have got for a dupe come no where close (lipstick fever by Juliette has a gun I am nose blind to, Guerlain Insolence- NO, Federick Malle- NO, BBW - NO) It really makes me sad so if you find anything that is similar in powdery lipsticky sweetness please share!!!!
