You forgot to mention that the magazine on the NBB version had a special gas capacity indicator at the bottom. There were 2 holes, one you fill with gas, the other is the indicator. When you fill it with gas, a button rises to the top of the 2nd hole. As you fire the gun and the gas is depleted, the button slowly lowers to the bottom again. That's how you tell when you're out of gas. I remember picking up the NBB version (the one that Clarence Lai lent you) back in '87 or '88. I even remember the box with that French guy firing the 93R from the film Le Marginal.

You can buy KSC made stocks, they seem to pop up on HK shops occasionally. They fit ASG/KSC/KWA and the electric TM.

Actually, MGC and Western Arms worked together. Some of their models, like the Terminator Hardballer use Western Arms' Magna system. WA didn't just take MGC's designs.

You know guys, I see this is (or better, was) a very popular airsoft replica, as we can see also from the success of the latest years versions by Umarex and Kwa. But do you know the origin of the real counterpart of this pistol? It was designed by Beretta, Italy in the latest 70s to be the service gun for counterterrorism teams of the Carabinieri (Italian military Police agency) and Polizia di Stato (Italian civilian Police agency). The purpose of it was having a little, easily portable and concealable burst-firing gun for these elite teams. Then it became very famous and popular worldwide after the 1987 movie "Robocop". :)

I have a Version2 example of this iconic MGC M93R. GREAT to see another on youtube! The KSC stock fits it perfectly. Unfortunately my model has developed a fault when firing 3-shot bursts (it blows all the gas from the magazine) but fires single shots well. Have you any ideas where spare parts can be sourced please?

cerwynlljones You should give a try to the guys from Impulse101. It's a shop run by a French player and his Japanese friend, and besides selling airsoft guns, they are in direct relation with Japanese brands such as Western Arms/Sherif/Nova, and the website allows you to make a request. I'm not sure they will find spare parts for a such old gun, but in the past, they managed to dig out brand new MGC guns. impulse101.jp/?page_id=21167

i remember when i was about 10 playing with a busted uzi my dad had from back in the 80s it was a gas airsoft full size replica completely metal with a fixed wooden stock i remember that because of how heavy it was and it may have had blow back because the charging handle used to pull back and the bolt locked into the open bolt position

Dear Tim, You are still holding it the wrong way... your left hand thumb should be inside the "trigger guard hole" in front of the right hand index, sorry I dont know the name in english, I think it's trigger guard. This is why the trigger guard have so much space in front of the trigger. That way you will notice that your grip naturally brings down the gun (this is a modification to the real gun because it was imposible to control in auto fire.) By the way did you know that this gun was developped because the Italian police asked to? I really like your videos, keep up the good work!!
