I use a Plague Kripath Zaw on Saryn with Melee Influence and Exodia Force. Can't wait to try Blast/Electric on it later!

Exalted weapons can run blast toxin with archon continuity, I've been trying it on excal and it is pretty good. It works well with the topaz shard that increases max health with blast kills. I can make an umbral build quite tanky with adaptation, reaper, and the extra max hp from topaz. I have also been running it with healing return on exalted blade, proving great sustain without gloom. This let's me use wrathful advance with furious javelin to greatly increase damage.

Zephyr tornadoes are super crazy with blast, i think its bugged with how much dmg it does cuz i was killing lvl 200 SP heavy gunners with just blast 60/60s on a cycron

I got myself a Magnetic Tenet Glaxion. Put Blast + Corrosive on it and went to town. That thing mowed through steel path mobs at 0 forma. The Blast damage has a lot to do with it along with the multishot, punchthrough and double dipping. Any frame that buffs damage took it to ridiculous damage numbers.

So Blast is the hot new Status Effect, but isn't Magnetic the hot new Damage Type? Increasing damage to Overguard is applicable against all factions in all missions. If Armour DR is less of an issue going forward, doesn't Magnetic become the new default over Corrosive?

i bet you will cover it tomorrow's video but currently archon intensify is not proc'd off her 1 and no longer off of dante 2-2-4. both tested when using combat discipline. However same set up on trinity procs it just fine. idk what is up with that EDIT: Dante was a unintended interaction that was removed a bit ago and Jade was a bug that was just fixed in the hot fix ~7 hours after my comment. Happy hunting

Viral heat seems to work for me still. I don’t really like changing my elements when I’m fighting different factions so if there’s like a hot new stuff that I can use against all factions that’d be great. Blast looks like it’s still best against grineer with corro but idk.

I think a silent winner this update is toxin damage. Still as effective against shielded enemies as always, but the health type changes mean it is no longer resisted by anything, and the armor scaling changes and armor cap are beneficial as well. It's now a good generalist damage type that is great against one thing but still effective against almost everything else. There's no real situation where it's bad to use, and it would be a great idea to just put it on weapons if you're not sure what to use! It's a good default pick that's useful no matter what you fight. Exception to this is toxic ancients and their aura, though, so do have a counter for that.

It doesn't really feel like any old setups got worse. Viral+Slash/Heat/Electric still slap. Corrosive is simply better without mandatory green shards. Even Gas is still cracked in the setups it worked in before - less so than Blast maybe, but Gas has the lingering AoE going for it. Really awesome balance pass!

I’ve subsumed off her 4 and gave her roar. I’m running around with over 250 power strength. I also put fast deflection and vigilante vigor on, her shield recharged delay over -100% So anytime I shield brakes. I just Duck behind something for under a second and it starts again, You’re literally a arcane ageis For your whole team. I also went with power, donation and compact discipline, and paired that with arcane avenger. So I basically made a weapons platform out of jade with really good survivability for her and her teammates. PS The shield charge delay is so good your Recharge will Begin in between fire damage Procs making it impossible for it to touch your health. I’m thinking about putting two blue Shards for shield. I made another build where I didn’t Helmet anything And I used aviator and aerodynamic to help with the survivability in the air. I basically made a build where I can stay flying indefinitely by giving her nearly maxed power, efficiency, and somewhere around 90% duration.

Just curious if anyone has tried the furax wraith with the amalgam body count mod on it. You can subsume nourish over Saryns miasma and use the spores augment. Now you have corrosive, toxin, viral, and blast. If you throw on electric mods and melee influence would this get crazy or is it wishful thinking?

This is going to seem stupid perhaps but here is my reason why blast is so "good"&/much improved (It's probably a tldr): The processing power increases and AI optimizations of codebase has allowed more accurate tracking of intricate physical interactions such as blast. It can therefore confidently predetermine a smaller subset of outcomes whereas by human calculations it was a bit of a wildcard and to stay on the safe side of what is and is not dead (because we kill things (Mission Accomplished) etc)... obvious. Also post processing damage effects is better monitored due to increase in compute (obvious) thus whether the predeterminations were correct can be measured quite succinctly (relative to before). In conclusion the fidelity of rendered realities increasing makes complex interactions accessible. Gauss's 0K physics is really shining as a result as it makes the generality of effects more absolute and determinable. The creation of better weights has allowed our limited interaction with the matrices to give us greater pleasure xD xD xD SAMUS whatever

Running heat+corrosive on beam weapons you get very similar results. Are you sure blast feeling good isn't just from the enemy armor changes? Of course the aoe on blast is great though. Edit: After a little more testing, grineer are just overall much easier to kill

It is definitely specifically the AoE component. At singular targets, Heat Corrosive is definitely much better. At small target, like a few targets, I'd say they are roughly equal. In large crowds, blast does pull ahead, so it depends on what you expect to face. Though for blast to actually be useful as DPS to start with is a huge jump for that status.

According to the Wiki, Halikar (and Wraith) force proc Impact, not Blast. Thrown Explosive has 100% Blast damage weight but does not force proc it, I can only get Halikar to force proc Impact and not blast and you can test this yourself if you use it without mods in the simulacrum, what am I missing?
