I’ve been weight training 13 years now. I’ve lost and kept off more than 80lbs of fat, and I’m currently on the next leg of my fitness journey, which is to get under 20% body fat. Two of the most important pieces of advice I would give anyone thinking about getting into shape: 1) discipline - motivation will come and go, but you have to treat working out and eating to support your goals like a job. Clock in and out every single day. Once it becomes a good habit, you’re more likely to continue on into making it a way of life. 2) patience - depending on your genetics, current state of fitness, and your goals, it could take you YEARS to get where you want to be. But don’t be discouraged, because hardly anything good comes in life without grinding for it. You have to think about the long game, in that regard it’s no different than earning a college degree, or making a successful business, it takes time and effort. A bonus piece of advice - STAY INSPIRED. What you watch, listen to, who you hang around, etc will all affect your state of mind. The battle for the body is waged in the mind. Keep your mind always full of the most positive and inspiring things you can find, whether they are podcasts, sports movies that inspire, documentaries about bodybuilding/sports, etc. This one really goes a long way!

They were both so polite and gentlemanly to one another, which was somewhat refreshing to see in this day and age. Also loved the "you've broken into film, so on behalf of everyone here, can I wish you all the very best" at the end :D

Jokes about his accent aside, his english was actually pretty good gramatically from very early on. Not commonplace for german speakers in the 1970's. Good one, Arnold.
@mermaidvonstarfish6 жыл бұрын
True, not a commonplace today either, i would say, english has become more a "lingua franca" that changes and adapts depending on the speaker's nationality, i even heard non-native speakers with a better grammar than some natives, it's actually interesting.
