My favorite Pokémon is #137 Porygon! I don't think it's a very good card in its current iteration but I'm hoping we get good evolution cards for him eventually. We can at least admit he has one of the prettiest full art card. I wouldn't want to ask you to build a deck around him yet though. I really enjoy your decks. Your logic behind your card choices is sound and is helping me to theorize better decks. I only need to pull good cards though as I'm F2P and quite unlucky so far in acquiring the meta cards. Hey I know this sounds crazy, and I know you probably won't believe me but I just had a legendary 6 point game against a Pikachu deck with the Dragonite/Weezing deck you made. I pulled off 3 meteors thanks to potion and letting them take out one of my other cards to get in another hit. 1 meteor ko'ed one regular pokemon, 2nd meteor ko'ed a second regular one. Meteor 3 ko'ed 2 pokemon and their Pikachu EX. I only bring it up as could be an idea for a challenge video to for you to try recreate that. And thank you for another awesome video

im glad Blastoise EX is finally getting recigniton. I been playing it with starmie ex to pivot/tank/pressure the opponent while i set it up. Deck has a phenominal winrate even against pikachu EX. But I also really like and appreciate this build. Cause the flaw of the one I been using is that a lot of time starmie ex is all you need and blastoise doesnt see action, and when he does, unless I really get lucky with a misty, his hydro bazooka probably isnt hitting for 160 cause of the investment onto starmie(s). bro I've been playing an arbok pidgeot kangaskhan (optional) deck, it's actually so fun. I call it early snake, late bird, (as a play on words from early bird), as you open with an early point from an arbok or kanga, then go all in for pidgeot and cheese the enemy with sabrina and drive off. I just won through 2 erikas and 2 potions on an Exeggutor ex.

I would say Kangaskhan and Weezing are better fits for Alakazam. With Alakazam, you can't have tanks that do no damage, or the opponent can just use 1 or 2 energy attacks to knock them out and you only threaten 90-120 damage to the Pokémon of their choice and get KO'd in response. Blastoise EX offers 160 damage flat once set up, and not that many Pokémon can do 180 damage in return.

You should use tournament results as the guide for the best decks. Pikachu EX and Mewtwo EX are at the top by a wide margin.

I mean, i kinda use lapras (regular) in a similar capacity as mewtwo, 20 less hp, though it can attack with 1 water energy, has the same retreat cost, and if you havent gotten that squirtle, you can build up lapras’ retreat cost while also powering its attack up to 90 damage, overall i feel like it helps more as it still acts like a wall, but helps stack up damage, if things look grim, 90 damage can revenge kill (should they sabrina it) a number of pokemon without much effort, solid basic mon tbh.

I didint even know people thought Blastoise EX was bad until now. I got one early on and paired him with 2 greninja for early combat and harrassment potential, a tentacruel to tank with its 120 HP and maybe leave a poison as a fallback, and an Articuno EX just to have a powerful basic i can use as a full plan b if i dont get my draws. All these guys tank hits and have potential to break the early and mid game but The moment Squirtle hits the field i do all i can to get it to 5 and usually steamroll from there. Sometimes i get lucky with misty and get him early and its the earliest ive had someone conceed. Sometimes i use frosmoth as a disruption instead of tentacruel. Theres pleanty of water types that have the ability to stall and disrupt while also being capable on thier own with blastoise always being somethjng you can threaten

Could see this deck being a sleeper meta deck. Tried it out and it’s so good. Very energy efficient as long as you pull what needs to be pulled (same as any deck). But it stalls so well to do so.

This deck will have a very bad matchup into Charizard EX and Pikachu EX unless you highroll Misty. Charizard can just sit behind Moltres with something else on the bench and wait to oneshot your Blastoise, then you have 0 energy and you're done. Pika EX will snipe you with Zebstrika and finish you with Pika. If there's no Zebstrika then maybe there are better chances.

Main issue I’ve ran into hasn’t been energy, but rather finding evolutions in a timely manner. Which is a problem most decks encounter.

Regular Mewtwo is seeing play in Mewto EX. Since EX counts as a different name, you can play 2 Mewtwo EX and a regular Mewtwo in the same deck.
