What memories! I cannot thank you enough for this video, Pierre. I used to go frequently to Blata-tal-Melh with Pawlu l-Bajumbaj, some 50 years back. Pawlu il-Bajumbaj was a very well known blacksmith . His workshop was in St.Michael's Street, Rabat, very near to Tal-Virtu, just a couple of doors away from my residence. He was the one to show me the way and to lead me to this idyllic spot. We preferred using the opposite trek, instead of the one you used. We used to pass a huge rock on the way down, which stood precariously on its tip like a huge spinning top. Obviously it was called the Żugraga. Once he dared me to jump into the inviting Summertime sea inside the inlet, from the platue some two storeys above. He jumped first with unparalleled nonchalance. When I hesitated, he egged me on from where he was swimming. I shouted back at him from above, telling him I was afraid I could not see from where I could climb back, but he pointed to the crevice or chasm that you videoed. It was embarrassing. Pawlu was some 50 years old, whilst I was still a youngster. So I gave in and dived down.. On our way up, Pawlu just jumped with extreme ease over the dangerous chasm or crevice which you videoed. I just couldn't risk it. So, I dived back into the sea from where I stood, and swam all the way around the promontary in open sea, until I reached a sort of stairwell hewn in the rocky plateau. Pawlu, used to warn me that the most dangerous thing about the place was whenever it happened to raine heavily whilst we were still down at the Blata tal-Melh. As he used to explain, a heavy rain would start an avalanche of rocks rolling down the foothpath from above, an occurence which could prove fatal for us.

Thanks a lot for such an enjoying vlog featuring great sea views and the remarkable beautiful various rock formation. It was a nice trek but with some difficulties too, and your imperative decision NOT to jump that crack over the rocks was the best ever to make. I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved sister and promise you to have our thoughts for her in our prayers too, May God giver her peace in heaven. Thanks Pierre, appreciate your effort to share with us the beauty of our archipelago, well done.

Another amazing place, different rock and magical formations created by nature, wind and sea. You were right not to take the chance and jump, as you say better to be safe than sorry, you have to think of your loved ones. Lovely trek Pierre thanks.👍🙂

BEAUTIFUL VLOG OF AN AMAZING PLACE, PIERRE🧗‍♂️ 🌿 🌊 🌥 😲. It starts with walking amongst greenery and ends with a rugged spot surrounding by amazing rock formations battered by the elements of nature 🍃 🌊 ☀ ☔. You're right, sometimes "it's better a living coward than a dead hero", we can't be selfish and must think of "outcomes" 👪. SORRY to hear about your late beloved sister - RIP MAROUSKA🙏. THANKS PIERRE 🚶🎥 👏 Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

A magical place. A couple of times I trail ran it, but one must know its crannies at the tip of the hands as it is not too safe at parts of the cliff edge parts. Great note re mental therapy as well 👍

I'm normally the guy that jumps and climbs everything but I was in that area one month ago and I didn't felt comfortable jumping. So I came back some meters and climbed a bit. Much safer than jumping. However I saw a family jumping it. For me it was crazy just to see it... Luckily everything went fine. Keep up the good work Pierre!

One of the best treks all way to Migra Ferha. The jump is challenging and not to be done if rough or wet. There is a route around by climbing up and down again. Have jumped many times but agree with you, don't if your not confident and even then think twice 👍
