Blaupunkt GTb 8200 A Installation on a Suzuki Swift

This episode covers installation of the Blaupunkt GTb 8200 A active subwoofer on most of the vehicles, installation has been done on a Suzuki Swift.
In some vehicles you need to pass the power cable (+ve) through the firewall.
⚠️ On this Suzuki swift THE POWER CABLE HAS BEEN PASSED THROUGH THE AC DRAINAGE PLUG/PIPE LOCATED ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE (passenger area) (HAS THIS VEHICAL IS A RT. HAND DRIVEN ONE)
Some audio systems does not have RCA outputs in that case you need to tap the signal via the loudspeaker outputs, the input connections of the subwoofer are fed to the closest loudspeaker cables (front or rear) on the left and right. They are separated and
connected to the input connections. The polarity of the
+ or - connections must be observed. Switch on the subwoofer is selected to high.
Parts Needed :
- RCA to RCA cable of appropriate length, 5 meters aprox for Suzuki Swift, Wagon R
- Equal length of cable for the remote connection

In the video, it is shown very briefly where you led the power cord through the firewall. Is there any factory pre-drilled hole for additional cables?

I have not passed the power cable thought the firewall on this vehicle, on this vehicle there is a rubber plug through which i have passed the cable which directly leads to the engine area, behind the battery, nor it required any tool to remove the plug

@@psycolana I have a 2008 Swift and there is a very small spot where they lead the bunch of cables through the firewall, not sure if I can force a 1 cm thick power cable next to these. Someone told me that there is an area behind the glovebox where I can drill a hole without damaging any pipe, cable but still trying to avoid this. Can you take a picture of the exact location you led this cable through? Thanks anyway for your respond. :)

@ghanshyam singh ranawat yes can be fitted, but you need to check your head unit if it has output for bass, otherwise you can tap the signal from the left and right speakers

if you gonna use it in your house, u can connect the remote via a relay and switch to the 12v power source which will power the sub.

You would need an inverter/adapter that can produce a 12-volt DC output at the specified amperage rating.

@X thewingrider both the specs are nearly similar, i would recommend you to hear both the units and compare, has for me I have not had an opportunity to hear the JBL800ba, also check the cost difference.

@@ashishkushwaha1167 diaphragm/cone is paper while the surround/suspension is foam if I AM NOT MISTAKEN, it is durable in Indian weather have installed the sub in 7 of my friends vehicles since 2017 (vehicles are in hot humid and saline areas) till date I have heard of no such issues, durability will also depend on how you drive the sub.
