Sigh. I've been turned on and off from this game all through development. Ive loved it, hated it and been indifferent. I really hate some of the choices they made, and wish the gameplay was less autocombos. But still, I guess the game has managed to win me over in the end. I'll look forward to the release. EDIT: Ignore everything I say about auto combos. I'm wrong.

Well just cause a game has auto combos doesn't mean it won't have depth in it. They integrate it in a way where its something for the new players to do, while it has uses for those that try to do a bit more. Brett said it was similar to Persona, though the button layout is...weird to say the least (kinda like dbz I guess). We will have to see how far it goes when we get our hands on it.

Frank West Yeah, in Stylish mode. The main, competitive game doesn’t have autocombos. Most players use Techincal mode. The statement that most ArcSys games have auto combos is incorrect. The Guilty Gear series began in 1998, and didn’t have autocombo options until Xrd Sign in 2014. BlazBlue got Stylish mode with the release of Continuum Shift in 2010. 75% of their games don’t have Stylish mode or autocombos.

Well i mean, most people liked how Persona handled auto combos, and that game had a lot of depth in it beneath its simple surface. They didnt do much damage, but gave you access to different normals. Not to mention, doing auto combos during a combo allowed you to get back some of your burst as well as extra meter. Like for Kanji, doing it was good since it was a good way to get a meterless knockown. I understand people not liking auto combos, even if there are ways around it, but it's weird when they dont like it even when it adds depth to the game. Other than that, it is understandable.

sheraldford yeah I don't mind auto combos. I just don't like that that's the ONLY way to play. There's no regular input options, only auto combos, and they locked several key normals inside them.
