Greed straight up killed this game. It’s a shame. I played alpha into 2022 and it’s sad to see what happened to this game

When did HotS become about greed? Even now I don’t see greed in the game

@@chrislang9150 Activsion pushed so hard for it to be a League Killer and they funneled large amounts of money and pushed all the Esports teams to make teams and failed to make a profit and killed it off. Blizzard played their cards right, but activision who owned them at the time needed it to make money. Which in the beginning it did. The league was pulling about 1-4 million a year for the first three years the pro scene was around. But league was making way more. Personally given the time and the effort. HOTS could have been bigger or just as big a league. Activision ruined blizzard

@@brandonlee9887 A correction: It did not fail to generate a profit. The problem was it didn't generate _enough_ profit. This is according to an ex Blizzard employee. It makes the whole thing even harder to swallow, I know.
