i personally don't like building into critical, and while as a fire, there are plenty of ways to build a hybrid set (tho 100% critical probably won't happen), i personally build all damage and pierce, (mainly for pvp), i have 126% damage and 43 pierce, and in pvp, as a storm with massive critical and damage does pay off, if you play aggressively and can pierce basically all their resist, (due to most not having over 55 resist unless that's their build) and that much damage, a one pip fire cat can do almost all 1000 on its own, which can lead to very quick matches, for bosses, i chunk out a lot of damage but not as much as a a storm crit

Ya I mostly solo'd mirage as storm and I found as long as I had enough sirens and fortify with my glow bugs and blades I was able to critical hit through it quite well, they blocked a lot but when they didn't it really helped. vengeance helps the critical too, I often bust the Rats & Sentinels block with vengeance and astraphobia.

protectorian You shouldnt use sirens. Only use tempest, and bugs for normal bosses and minions and for bosses that are alone use rusalkus wrath and owl. They all do more damage.

Kyle McDermott That's not correct. In Mirage if you don't have higher than 5-6 shadow pip stats, YOU NEED SIRENS, especially if you solo because it's a hard hitting alternative with cheat casts, double disarm and smoke screen, in case you don't get the shadow pip and also fortify to boost resistance. But you can use any strategy you want but I solo'd Mirage and I know what I'm talking about. I've seen solo storms die when I did not.

Kyle McDermott & yes you should always keep a couple of tempest for back ups. But to run Mirage on prodigious stats with only glow bug and tempest most storms will struggle. They must add sirens and fortify TC and they will go faster and survive better. & this I mean only if they have to or want to solo it.

so with a pure damage pet you can get 156% damage. With your damage you could do 800 damage with a four pip tempest, and with an epic you could get 1,100 damage. To be honest with you though i would go for double resist and triple damage so sure, you will be getting less critical but with your damage set that will bump you up to 45% resist

Looks like damage for fire has surpassed storm at this point as it's extremely easy to get over 140 if not 150 like me (since i have an all damage pet with proof) with the new gear and legendary fire staff

It took me over a week and many gold keys to get the Mimic storm ring lol. I sit at 135 damage perfect pips 793 critical which is the lowest needed for 100% 29 pierce and 36 universal resist besides storm which is 40% due to my boots. :) Blaze if you read this by chance how long did it take to get your storm mimic ring?Everyone i farmed this with had so much trouble getting the storm. I pulled 2 entire sets before i pulled the storm ring and i managed to pull that on my life wizard of all wizards lol.

you should go for the other aphrodite ring it gives 1% less damage than the one you're using but with higher stats in other places like power pip and incoming

The enemy still have 100% It isn't proven that just because you have more critical, over 100%, doesn't means you will have a higher chance of being able to critical through someone's block.

Luke Alton If you want his gear, Hat and Robe are dropped from malistaire in darkmoor. Boots are dropped from Shadowwock in Sands Of Time, which is the second to last boss in mirage. Athame is dropped from Morganthe along with amulet(final boss of khrysalis pt2). Ring is also dropped from shadowwock and his deck comes from many bosses like omen stribog, the rat, and a few others.

Honey, critical no longer gives you a chance to "crit through" just because it's higher. 100% is 100% critical and block are completely independent now.

I suppose you could say I'm just assuming, and while I have no proof I know I'm right lol. Critical and block are no longer codependent. If you have 100% critical you will always critical and if someone has 100% block they will always block. The percentages no longer go above 100% no mater how high your rating is. In the past, critical worked so that if someone had 70% block and another person had 60% critical, the person with 60% critical would never land a critical, but now when it says 70% it means 70%. It's completely RNG based now like a critical system should be, whether we like it or not..
