I accidentally cut out a portion about Scurry of Squirrels :( It was supposed to talk about its synergy with triggered abilities on cards like Aura Shards, Cathar's Crusade, and Champion of Lambholt. And mention how it instantly gets Jetmir to a minimum of six creatures on attack!

Why would the Chatterfang tokens made off the Scurry of Squirrels myriad inherit the exile effect? I don’t think that’s true.

@@MushieDude Chatterfang is a replacement effect that alters how many tokens another effect makes, rather than making tokens itself. Similar to how Parallel Lives would tack on additional attacking copy of a Myriad creature, Chatterfang’s squirrels will enter tapped and attacking and exile themselves at end of combat. You can see this ruling on Scryfall or Gatherer: scryfall.com/card/mh2/151/chatterfang-squirrel-general “(2021-06-18) The additional Squirrel tokens won't have any abilities the other tokens were created with. Anything else specified in the effect creating the token (such as tapped, attacking, “That token gains haste,” or “Exile that token at end of combat”) applies to both the original tokens and the Squirrels.”

@@theArcosa okay my bad. I’ve never came across an interaction like that. Doesn’t feel intuitive to work that way when reading it but that’s how Magic goes sometimes. So the card isn’t as good as I thought but still good enough for my lower powered Chatterfang deck since you can sac all the tokens at end of combat to kill something. I also run a lot of anthems so it might be a ton of damage. Great video and thanks for clarifying for me.

@@MushieDude I still think it’s very powerful and slots in perfectly because it gives you a ton of Mirkwood Bats, Champion of Lambholt, or other triggers! And yes, sacrificing them after combat damage before the exile lets you give +8/-8 worth of Chatterfang’s effect.
