Byakuya reminds me of a certain biblical person that had this much pride before his fall. Hint : This person was blinded on the road to Damascus. I know this comparison might seem a bit awkward to some, but after the research I've done into the symbolism behind this anime, I can see it being a possibility. Just something to think about.
