From what you've said, I believe you had previously lightened your hair to make it pink. Then you dyed it dark. Then lightened it again, leaving the lightener on waaaay too long. You destroyed the protein in your hair, and it is beyond repair. Do not brush it or comb it because you are just stretching out what is there and breaking it further. People will suggest treatments and they may make some of it feel a little better, but overall your best bet is to cut it off. Anyone that says that it can be fixed is lying or trying to sell you something. Brad Mondo's tutorial was for someone with healthy hair that is not previously damaged or lightened or dyed darker. You could have followed all the steps perfectly, and it still would have ended up with the same result. The bleach you bought and the developer were both too strong for your hair, which contributed to the damage, but ultimately, the previous coloring you did created the perfect canvas for complete destruction. If you came into my salon, I would have recommended a strand test with something much gentler and it probably still would have been mush. I'm sorry, Summer. As an aside, you can use Adore without heat. Saturate your hair and leave it in for a while. All day, an afternoon, a couple of hours, whatever. The longer it is in there, the better it will stay. And wash with a sulfate-free shampoo in cool water. The hotter the water, the faster the color will strip.

people will always say they watch brad mondos videos but they don’t actually listen bc they always bleach the roots before the ends are light enough and give themself hot roots 😭

14:15 - that's the side(left) where u first started with your bleach. Which means the bleach on your left side sat in your hair way longer than on your right side. And u said u watched bleach compilations. Then u must've not heard Brad mondo say u need to apply quickly n not take your sweet time like how u did in the video. Btw, I love watching bleaching videos/fails. I enjoyed watching your video. 👌 I, am also not a pro...obviously. I just watch too much Brad mondo n Hair Buddha. Lol. Like Hair Buddha would say "take fine sections!". 😂

I figured it would just be the side you did first. I noticed it took you a while putting it in, so it was in that side much longer. That's why it's just the one side. If it takes you a while to thoroughly saturate your hair, do it in sections. Bleach one section, rinse it out, then do the other side completely. I know you'll need some bond filler. Hopefully it works out.

I think you should condition/deep condition to return back the moisture to your hair

You looked really good after you rinsed out the bleach. If you dyed your hair a pinkish auburn I think it would look truly good!

It’s really not that bad for bleached hair damaged wise. Get some oil, get some leave in conditioner. Some type of moisturizing and also a repairing mask will help don’t be hard on yourself professional hair, stylists mess this up all the time it’s very hard to do at home, especially not having been taught, you did a pretty good job. Honestly totally a lot of things you can do from here that would be cute. I personally think you look great with a copper caramely color an it should come out on that. OK. Also when the hair is wet, do not pull on it because it will stretch. When it is dry, it won’t as much it’s more fragile in the wet state. Try not to brush it wet. If you do go from the bottom to the top as slowly as possible and you don’t want to hear any ripping at all. I hope this helps you. I highly recommend not dying it or going to a professional. Or, as I said, a beautiful light, caramel copper would be perfect and it would blend the roots to the ends, perfectly looking very expensive like a shade root . best of luck, 😊 if you can afford them K 18 and olaplaex number three are helpful with the damage but not the end of the world. If you can’t afford them it’s not going to make or break anything. It just makes it a little bit better.

I don’t know who needs to hear this ( she did but that was 3 months ago, sooo…) I bleached my hair twice ( interval of two weeks between) then decided ,because I was in a hurry, to tone it- came out horrible dirty color so I panicked, and bleach bathed it. I used a packet of the ION Reconstructor mask and it saved the texture, following all that and my hair is still there. Got it at Sally’s for $2.99. It’s in a red/fuschia colored package. I also have the Aphogee, just haven’t tried it yet because of the whole, let it get hard under a blow dryer then rinse, use step two, rinse, process. Was afraid it would be too much on delicate hair. I’ve really come to appreciate the Ion line, the cream bleach, the booster, the after sealer, it all seems to work well. Not a Sally’s rep, just speaking from my experience so far

Do not bleach brows, it’s just not cute plz and not very safe to have bleach by your eye. there is makeup you can get to make them look bleached. If you’re going to bleach your hair, try to do it in a well ventilated area. However, be aware, if it’s too cold, that can affect the bleach. I recommend each section separately. doing it in four sections , basically doing one section at a time, and then Wait for it to be done rinse it then do the next and on and on and it’s the best possible way you could do it they just can’t take the time to do all that in the salon, I am a stylist, and I have had to do my hair at home as well though and technically they can get it all done at once in the salon but at home it’s the best safest way, and always take a tester and a small piece of hair that’s hidden and bleach that make sure to time exactly how long it takes till you are where you need to be and when you go through make sure you follow that timer in every section try to apply as quickly and accurately as you can, but doing one quadrant at a time instead of the whole head to you so much more time to get an even canvas. So the trick is to one of the four sections at a time it will take longer. It is very much worth it and always take the test her and be very cautious of the timing and the timer, good luck

You can blow dry on a cool cooler setting and it won’t be too bad go to little trim I bet it will look great I really hope you’re dead copper. I think that would be gorgeous and perfectly go over what you have.

Volumizer 😂. It's volume. 10 volume is deposit volume, 20 volume will lift two shades and is great for grey coverage, then 30 volume and 40 volume. I'm halfway through and I applaud you for your courage. I'm a hairstylist and I'm already nervous for you!!!

You suppose to bleach one side wait 20 min and rinse it out and than start another side and it's necessary to take fine sections of hair not chunks to bleach it...

Sidenote, the bleach on your arm most likely just burned through the dead skin that tends to discolor so exfoliating would even that out 😂
