Manga readers opinion of squad 0 was mostly Ichibei being 90% of squad 0's might, 9% being nimaiya, and 1% spread to the rest because of how underwhelming they were.

Believe me! Urahara is fully capable of sending in Yoruichi and Ichigo to die to buy time. Rmember the whole hiding the Hogyoku inside Rukia debacle? Urahara is capable and willing to go to any length for the greater good!

[Tidbits & Thoughts] - I really enjoy some of the underlying aspects of this fight. A key one is the theme of Names, which is very important down the line, but it starts here. We already know that Ichibei has governance over names. In Bleach Names are everything, from names, purpose is derived. Yhwach, as we know is named in a manner that refers to God. In this episode we see Ichibei strip the voice of Yhwach, in other words, he's a person capable of taking from God, and Yhwach responds by proving his position as a God by giving himself a voice. A God is one who can give or take things at will and we see that on display here. Ichibei has power over names, and all things have names. - The fight sequences between Uryu/Hascwalth and the 0 squad were never in the manga - We saw at the beginning of the Series that Urahara is not above using people to see his goals through, so Hiyori's questions towards him are very poignant and likely in some way shape, or form true. - The DeathDealing allows Askin to calculate the "perfect lethal dose" or the amount of something that will cause death of any substance he takes into his body. He can then raise or lower that value as he sees fit, inducing a lethal dosage of that substance in those around them. (By drinking his Blood He can make blood lethal) - We see that Ichibei seems to relish in the idea of killing Yhwach, further expressing that He isn't some sort of figure of justice. - We now know why the Quincy Robert [Glasses Quincy with a gun] Was so afraid of not being brought up top. Unlike many of the other Sternritter, he's older and knows the cruelty of Yhwach. They removed his scene in this episode where he was freaking out and explaining what was going to happen. - The Auschwallen in my opinion seems to be an obvious Perversion of the Christian concept of "The Rapture" [Reposted]

Yushiro is a dead giveaway that he is her brother, not sister, because "shiro" is an ending of a boy's name. Hence ToSHIRO Hitsugaya. Urahara isn't devoid of empathy like Mayuri or as rigid as Yamamoto, but that man will do what he deems necessary to save the world.

Yhwach is in base form up till now since his true power has been sealed by Ichibe 1000 years ago. So he only able to use his basic quincy power If his power weren't sealed, the bleach verse might be not like what we know today

@1:40 Urahara is the type of person who DOES care, but he is also the type of person who WILL sacrifice allies for the ultimate goal But not unless he has exhausted all means of alternative methods to still get the same result He will try everything first, but if push comes to shove and there is nothing left, he will sacrifice people if need be. He is a person with empathy, but his base self is that of logical reasoning. That's how important and dire the situation is, to sacrifice the 2 people if needed be. Remember back to Bleach starting, he knows Aizen goal of the Hougyouku and remember how Rukia could not recover her spiritual pressure fast, in fact she is seemingly getting weaker? Later we learnt in Visored history, Urahara wanted to destroy it because it was too powerful and in the wrong hands be devastating but he couldn't find a way so he simply sealed it off. And come back the initial Bleach, Aizen talked about the gigai given to Rukia by Urahara, that gigai was meant to implode itself along with anything spiritual pressure inside. And the Hougyouku was sealed into Rukia during the gigai handover. He exhausted all means of destroying Hougyouku and was willing to kill Rukia off with the Hougyouku using the gigai he developed. Hence why Rukia went to talk to Urahara right after Aizen betrayal reveal and they had a tense moment. So back to TYBW, yes Urahara is willing to sacrifice an adolescent adult and his best friend to delay and he is simply.hoping that things turn out differently. That's why initially when Ichigo said wait for me, I'll settle things. Urahara was shocked because he also have exhausted almost all means to counter the quincies and Yhwach and Ichigo came back stronger with a hope for him

here's a cool little detail many people missed. Do you notice how the auswählen when it distributed power to him and the other 4 it looked like rain of reishi? Zangetsu (the old man) told Ichigo there's nothing he hated more than the rain during the soul society arc in his fight against Kenpachi.
