With the exciting tease regarding the pacing of Part 3, I had to make a follow-up to my video looking at the incredible story moments to come, this time with 13 NEW scenes, fights, flashbacks, and other additions I'd like to see added with all that extra space! Assuming the Pernida fight does happen in this part of the anime, giving Nemu some more justice is something I hope for. Naturally there's not much to be done, the ending has been decided, but at the very least they should acknowledge more of how Nemu was *abused,* because I cannot simply ignore that fact no matter how the tone of the scene conflicts with it. How that fight ends is my least favorite moment of the TYBW, which might be a controversial take.

Honestly, the best news to me regarding TYBW is the fact that Tite Kubo would be involved more than ever. If the manga is the rough draft, then the anime is the final copy.

the shitty part about a good adaptation is that people (not you) get very nitpicky when something isnt one to one, some complaints i do get like not having the quinces reaction to the meteor but i would rather that get cut if we got amazing stuff like squad 0 vs yhwachs royal guards re done and a whole new bankai and world building.

You know, having Uryu’s flashback happen while he’s trapped in senjumaru’s bankai before breaking out would actually work quite well, having a tease for the arrow that flows directly into the fight would be pretty cool

I think uryu vs senjumaru will be off-screened. They will not show what happened there. They will simply show the dead body of senjumaru near uryu. (later it will be reviled that senjumaru understood uryu's motive & let him pass/ killed herself) What we will be shown will be from ichigo's perspective that 'Uryu has killed a royal guard (senjumaru)' & we will get the ichigo vs Uryu.

Yhwach absorbing Mimihagi might be part of the reason Yhwach doesn't immediately destroy the three worlds, grappling not only with the full power of Reio but also the Stasis of Mimihagi. Perhaps a scene through Yhwach's perspective, seeing past and futures and we could even see the Ise holy blade in one flash to start laying the groundwork of future scenes

i think the best time for reio flashback is right before ywach stab, you can show up to the betrayal then transition with the stab or cut ywach does to intensify the scene.

​@7hevybutsh78 while I agree it's not "necessary", it is still something they could add without any effort that would enrich the story. I'm not saying there should be an entire episode dedicated to this Aizen/Hinamori subplot, but if they've already decided to give Aizen ten minutes to swag on the quincies, they could easily work her in as one of the people who he saves, then have her ignore him to help a comrade, showing she's moved on from him while still acknowledging that there's history there. Like Rangiku grabbing Gin at the end of SS. It didn't have to be there, and it changed nothing, but if someone's going to be there, you might as well use someone who is impacted by the events in question to give some quiet character moments for the both of them.

I wish they extended or slowed down the pace of the battles in cour two, every episode was basically just “bankai” “neg sternritter attack” “one shot kill” and that was it and it was over in half an episode, there was no real battle when compare the battles they had with the espada that would extend to like 2-3 episodes each, take kenpachi vs Nnoitora for example

More Aizen content is the most interesting for me, I always wanted to see Mayuri and him clash with each other verbally, at most we just had a bombastic side eye moment in the manga This may be more Cour 4 relevant but the lack of Soken always bothered me, I really felt he should've been more central,especially with the overtones of fatherhood in the narrative.

I just hope more than anything that Kubo himself is happy with how the anime portrays his creation. The fact that the studio is having him be so involved with it is one of the best signs for the arc and the anime as a whole. It must have been hard to be rushed like he was so if he's happy with it then I'm good with it too

I would love a flashback at the start of the season following Yhwach’s defeat by Yamamoto. Ichibe stated that Yhwach’s eyes would be sealed until his death. I wonder if Yhwach was somewhat optimistic after his defeat as he would eventually regain his eyes.

Kubo decision to kill off so many sternritters off-screen/by the hands of other quincy really ruined second half of TYBW

One of the biggest problems is how the Quincy were treated compared to other groups. Kubo created 26 new captain-level characters only to kill off most of them quickly without any characterisation or development. Despite having so many potential opponents for characters we already know, Kubo wastes most of them by having them killed by fan favourite characters. In the end a few important Quincy remain where it would be unrealistic if minor characters defeated them or contributed in a meaningful way. It's really bad planning on his part imo.

For me it would be #1 mimihagi and Ukitake backstory + Bankai. As a farewell, they talk about some of his accomplishment or how he always put his life on the line for his subordinates by showing off his shikai and bankai. #2 would be fixing the Nanao deus ex machina sword. Just a scene between Kyoraku and someone else (Mayuri? or perhaps Kisuke?) by simply saying "perhaps this is the time to return the sword to its rightful owner?" with Kyoraku going "I promised I wouldn't put her in harms way." A simple teaser like that. That he has hidden something. Which perfectly then fits as well, as she puts herself in harms way anyway, so there is then no reason to not give her her sword back. #3 Uryu vs Senjumaru, What I'm hoping here is that Uryu is able to fight back, to Senjumaru's surprise. Then have a fight scene, ending with seemingly Uryu winning. Uryu has Senjumaru "dead to rights", and Senjumaru, the badass that she is, says "Do it then". We then hear (and see) her dead, the bankai liften. Later on, in a flash back of Uryu, it can then be revealed that actually Senjumaru had Uryu dead to rights instead. But after talking, Uryu (with his demonstrated power) convinces her he can defeat Yhwach. But for the story to be real, she'd have to be killed and he would need to walk the path of "evil" until the final deed is done. And even then, he may never be forgiven. That is my top3.

Personally I think Senjumaru knows Uryu's true intention, hence, in the previous cour we saw her bankai did not seem to 'hurt' him. About Ukitake's possible childhood flashback, it would have been cool to see a cameo of the original Squad 13 Captain, Saizou Sakahone. BTW did Uryu actually knew that Ichigo is half-Quincy anyway? I can't seen to remember any.

I would hope Aizen's new scene is a reference to CFYOW in that he wishes to speak to Ichigo regarding the truth of the Spirit King and his near fate, it will tie up Ichigo's visions of the King and his awakening to the horrific truth at the center of this war.

I think we’ll also see Ukitake’s bankai as he goes to activate that ritual that will release the arm of the soul king. I believe they will try and kill him but he activates his bankai around the facility where his ritual is activstef and it’s revealed that his power is absolute reflection. I believe his bankai reflects any and everything thrown at it and if someone tries to walk through the shield they will either be thrown back or they will walk through and out the other side so it’s a void they can’t enter or attack

Wild speculations, but I think all the talk about Squad Zero being somewhat nefarious is going to justify Uryu's actions. Maybe one of his goals in joining Yhwach was to at the very least humble the Zero Division. It's easy to point to them as the a relic of an age where the Shinigami were still, well, everything Uryu hated about them to begin with. On that note, if all of Squad Zero is resurrected, I hope in Part 4 we get a scene of Soi Fon and Mayuri giving a dejected Tenjiro and Senjumaru a hard time for all their talk about doing one's job only to fail at their own and needing the captains to pick up the pieces. For Robert, I'm thinking he might be the son of the quincy girl from the episode 24 flashback. Mostly going off of the fact that both are blonde and use guns. However it would also be interesting if his "mother" had some tie to Pernida like some have theorized, as that would make Robert a fitting character to confront the host of Mimihagi. I bet Part 3 will end with the Lille birds, but it will be expanded as a massive "hurrah" moment for the Gotei 13. Not just for Izuru, but all the shinigami still alive still in the Seireitei. We could see Iba and Isane get involved, and this could be their moment to at least foreshadow that they will become captains in the future. Kensei and Rose may appear here too, fully revived (and maybe Mashiro, who knows). This is also Komamura's last chance to "avenge" Yamamoto but in a way that doesn't feel malicious in any way as he would be helping to bring down the god-like Lille, very similar to how Nanao's blade was meant for a real God but Lille was the stand-in.

We already know Uryu’s reason for joining Ywach. He was never loyal to them. I definitely think the chicken bird Lille fight will be extended but only to showcase Izuru’s potential Bankai. Komomura should have stuck around more but he shouldn’t fight Lille even if weakened. I always felt he should have been there to help against Gerard for obvious reasons. Two goliaths fighting eachother would be epic.

In the manga, it's kind of the same problem Gin had where he commits to helping the villain too much, only to spring a trap that doesn't work at the last minute anyways. If the anime wants to double down on Uryu "being evil", I'd prefer if they don't fall into the Gin pitfall.

I honestly want more time spent with Liltotto and Giselle, and maybe while they're making their way through the Wandenreich city, we could get a Liltotto flashback that sort of doubles as a Bambis flashback that also shows more about characters like Quilge. Also, they need to desperately change at least part of the Mayuri vs. Pernida battle, specifically the context and motivation of Nemu's sacrifice. In the manga, it was infuriating that her sacrifice was framed as unconditional loyalty to her abuser's goals, but I think the anime should make it so that while Nemu still cares to some extent about Mayuri, she also sacrifices herself for her other friends, laments the life she's about to lose, and maybe even thinks about Uryuu for us Uryuu x Nemu shippers.

I hope some of you guys recall in Cour 1 we got a manga panel that showed Ukitake fought a Sternritter most likely Nianzol (the guy with two tongues) would be badass to see that fight through the means of a flashback of Ukitake recalling his Life and some of his harder battles come to mind.

one of the things id like is just a short clash for orihime and chad to display a bit of their power and show they got stronger even if they don't win, ideas come to mind where orihime's shields are able to block lile's x-axis shots while chad is able to struggle with gerard for a bit.

I feel there is more “content” for lack of a better word, in the latter half of the tybw. i hope to see extensions of especially the holy guards fights and the final fight, with backstories, mainly the soul king, the silver arrow and the shinken hakyokan

Regarding senjumaru’s bankai, I’ve never seen people consider that possibly the ‘manipulate fate’ aspect of her power, could just be kubo’s way of paying homage to the source material because he intends to change how the shuttzstaffle fights end in the anime? I think it’s more likely the anime will change the fights later on and senjumaru’s bankai was a way of acknowledging the source material.

Honestly, while I don’t think it’ll happen in this cour, I would like to see how, close to the end of the TYBW, Mayuri gets ahold of the bodies of Candice, Meninas, and NaNaNa, and how Jugram’s aide gets Liltotto and Giselle (and of course, Bambietta). After all, if we do ever get cfyow animated, they’ll have roles to play. And naturally, if they have roles to play there and will survive much further, it would be no surprise to see them pop up again in hell Similarly, the “battle” with Askin and Ichigo would probably not be much. All Askin has to do is poison the air around him and he’d be down

I think Cour 3 will focus on new scenes and on the Soul King's lore and having Pernida vs Mayuri be the final fight of Cour 3. That would be 18 chapters after Holy New Born just how 609 to the Holy New Born was 18 chapters. Cour 4 will have the rest and about 18-25 chapters.

Hope so. Waited forever for this and knew what was going to happen and still was lost sometimes watching the first half. Should’ve slowed it down a bit to give people time to keep up with all the new characters and lore. I wanted Ichigo or Grimmjow to fight Bazz too, the end of this arc is so rushed it’s sad. Crazy that Ichigo doesn’t really have a proper fight in this whole arc other than maybe Quilge which is very short so I don’t count it.

i really hope some fights don’t suffer from these extra scenes. some fights in season 2 could’ve been longer, specially kenpachi vs gremmy. they could add so much more, and removing everyones reaction to the meteor definitely took away a lot from that epic moment.

I'm Actually really excited bc there is gonna be so much more added/extended scenes. I have a feeling this is why we haven't gotten an actual air date as of yet and why part 3 probably isn't gonna air until june/July. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they push it back and it doesn't air until October bc of how much more they are putting into it.

I've wondered if alternatively there could have been some kind of conflict between Shunsui and Ukitake at this point in the war. One where Shunsui would be following Ichibei's contingency plan in making Ichigo the SK and protecting the established order at any cost with Urahara on board, meanwhile Ukitake, who is generally more empathetic to Ichigo and friends, tries to prevent this in releasing Mimihagi. I know the quincy and Yhwach were supposed to be the central antagonists, imagine amongst the chaos former comrades fighting to the death to pursue their idea of what is right. This would be another opportunity to flesh out some characters and give them proper deaths, something actually lacking in the "War" arc of all things.

my guess is the fights happen as usual in episode one between uryu vs senjumaru and yhwach v ichibe and the episode ends with the stabbing of the soul king. then episode 2 and 3 are duo flashback episodes

Well Uryu killing any member of the 0 Division doesn’t really matter, so long as Ichibei survives the rest of them are functionally immortal. So yeah, in the end it really wouldn’t matter

Senjumaru (and the other RG) are all immortal though, don't forget. Her 'dying' wouldn't be a massive unforgiveable transgression, because eventually they'll all respawn - so long as the Royal Palace still exists. That's part of the Ouken's deal.

Shouldn't be *too* hard for Ichigo to shift his reiatsu around to dodge Askin's poison, or use hollow regeneration to fight back at least for a little while.

The thing with flight ng Askin is, he can mop the floor with his opponents quicker usually since his opponents had no idea what the hell did Askin's abilities do. Ichigo can possibly think of ways to counter Askin, but the thing is Ichigo had no idea what this Askin guy can do, in the same way why Grimmjow got his ass kicked by Askin.

We will probably get a flash back at the beginning of episode 27, but I feel the flashback will go way back to the time when the Soul King was sealed, we may see Yhwach's birth and his mother. As for the final episode I always thought it should be when Ichigo and Orihime arrive at the throne to confront Yhwach. Well that's just what I think.
