Jordan Poole definitely had a brain fart on that one. From my understanding, the clock keeps ticking down until the 1 minute mark for the first 3 quarters, unless there is a stoppage of play. But in the fourth quarter and overtime, it'll keep ticking down until the 2 minute mark unless their is a stoppage of play. And when I say stoppage, i mean like a foul call, or out of bounce call, or timeout, etc. Ive seen instances where a team has taken advantage of that rule by not touching the ball as long as possible to let as much time run off the clock. And the 24 second shot clock won't start until the ball is touched.
