Well thats a great suggestion for another video.. hmmn. Just going off what I know...bleaching the hair is exposing the cuticle layer of the hair hence the lighter the hair the more covering have to been exposed. However bleaching the hair with 40 vol may do damage quickly if it sits on the hair too long... in this case since the timing was the mostly the same for swatch.. we will assume the 40 volume swatch be the most compromised.

My natural color is very dark brown towards black. As I age my greys/white roots are proving incredibly resistant. 20 volume covers very nicely, it’s washed it looks nice and after a couple of days the color lifts and the white shows up again. So its not working. Have tried several hairdressers/medium high end brands. A hairdresser recommended trying 10 percent. I just need to cover the roots and keep them decently covered (same or similar color as my natural one, dark) for a decent period of time. Is it worth trying 10%? Great video congrats

yes 20s are all the same in diff brands in terms of percentages..I will say make sure you use a color line and its dedicated developer because they work best together.

UrManeAve_Tv Im sorry but what do you mean by a color line and it’s dedicated developer? For example, do you mean it’s good to use all items from the same brand? For example, Schwarzkopf lightener with Schwarzkopf developer.

@UrManeAveTv5 жыл бұрын
thanks for watching! if one's hair is compromised from previous chemical processes including previous coloring, bleaching ,relaxers or even heat damage from heat tool... then faster processing with 40vol might too harsh for the hair esp if application is not fast and the bleach sits on the hair too long..

Great comparison video sis thanks. 😎 I have a question. I tried dyeing natural off black hair with a dark brown box dye, and there's not much difference in the result. So not knowing much about developers, I went and got what the store clerk suggested and got a number 10. Haven't used it yet because since I bought it I've been reading articles on developers, and most of them said that a #10 is not going to do much either, that it should be a # 20 or # 30 to go lighter 1 or 2 full shades lighter. I just want dark brown or maybe medium brown not blonde. So do you think I should return the 10 for a 20?I do not want to add bleach. Thank you in advance. 🙂

Chante Echor it not used using a developer right? It is a bleach and developer mixture.... usually look at the instructions on the bleach that you intend to use and use the timing on there to gauge how long it can sit on your hair.. also if you are not expecting to be too light.. u dont have to have the bleach mixture sit on your hair for the maximum amount of time..recommended by the manufacturer..

As a licensed professional it’s not healthy to use 40 on your hair bc it will burn your scalp bc it heats up. It’s best you use 20 or 30 vol developer. If it doesn’t lighten as light as you want it then repeat the process. But you have to shampoo it first after you bleach it, dry it and then apply the bleach again. I wouldnt exceed over 2 times in a day. You can also use a toner after you bleach it one time to get your desired lifted color

Hello dear Madam. Big regards from Croatia. I have question about lightening the hair. I bought one budle ( 24inch) straight brazilian virgin hair. It is not completely black but it is really really dark brown. I wanted to dye it as my natural hair ( middle brown) as you can maybe see in my profile picture. Do you think iz would be good just to take 10V developer to achive the wanted colour. I think my natural hair is just as result of that you use 10V on hair in video :) Also is it necessary to bleach it or i read some girls just use developer for lightening the hair. I would really hear your opinion and thank you in advance :)

yes 10vol is fine but you will have to watch the hair and depending on the lift you may or may not have to tone for evenness... I havent used developer by itself to lighten before.

@@UrManeAveTv So i did it. I used a one bag of powder bleach and 30v developer. What happend is that afer 5 minutes the hair started to receive red pigmentation so i washed it out because suddenly i scared that i ruined smtng and i washed it out. Today my hair dresser has used again bleach powder with 20v developer and it lighten it a lot and than she dye it to 7.0 that is my natural hair colour( dark blonde) so it is somehow brown but that ugly orange pigmentation stayed. How to get rid of that pigmentation ? Schould i dye it ones again in that colour maybe

Can you possibly help me? I bleached with loreal feria extreme platinum from Walmart. So no developer.. lol then wella t18 with 20 developer.... I didnt saturate the bleach enough on the lower parts of my hair , mainly being the top layer of hair .If I'm explaining this right..... I hope so. The lady at Sally's told me what developer to use .. well obviously the outcome wasnt good...so I went back to the same Sally's. 2 different ladies were there. Both just as "helpful" as the last . Put together they both had no interest in helping me. But nonetheless I ended up buying loreal quick blue bleach and 2 ion toners. Platinum lace and icy white bc I wanted to mix but doubt it will but I was super torn . They said I should use 20 volume developer with the bleach and the toner..... before the 2nd visit and since the second visit I've been doing so much research. As much as I can to learn the differences in everything and levels ... all that. But I'm still extremely confused on the developer. I'm watching ppl use 10 or 30 on hair that was the same natural color as me and looks the same after bleaching...they're using a different volume with their toners still.... I'll see ppl use 20 and 30 or 20 and 10. I've watched ppl use 30 and they said it wasbc their hair is so dark. ...I go to Sally's today. A different one. And these women were amazing. Pulled a book out and they really cared and tried to help me. Well apparently they think I shouldn't bleach my entire head. Just bleach the areas I missed .... and the toners I have already will not work until I have more sessions of lightening. .. They said I needed a violet undertone for my toner. The platinum lace is actually darker than you'd think. But I bought wella t18 again bc it says violet for the undertone. The lady also said I shouldn't be using 20 vol for the toner. That I should use 10 for tone and 20 for bleaching. . That it would fry my hair if I did 20 on toner... .IDK WHAT TO DO. .. I bleached it the first time a week ago. .. I got a hair masque. I think maybe they want me to use 10 on toner bc of bleaching a week ago and wanting to do it again. She was like noooooo dont do it lol. The other place just didnt give a crap. Didnt make me feel good. But I just wanted a platinum blonde but damn I dont think I can I want it be done and over with this go around bc my hair isnt very healthy. I havent dyed it for 2 years until last week. I went from hair down to my hips to hair a bit above my shoulders. And I've been using coconut oil since I bleached it .
