I’m a licensed cosmetologist and am a curly color specialist. I hope it’s okay if I give you some pointers. I just think it’s important that we help each other since this on KZbin and others are learning from you. I would suggest using only 20 volume on curly or coily hair. Natural hair lifts fast no matter what. In the salon, I rarely use 40 volume because I can get the same results with a lower volume and leave the hair in better condition. Water actually does not slow down the process of lifting but opens the hair up to accelerate the process. The only time water slows it down is if it is used to thoroughly wipe off the bleach with a towel. I hope your hair is doing okay and is in a healthy condition.

@@fuccyoutubeblair9286 Hi! I wouldn’t unless it was made that way. There are colors that come with lifting power on them. If you mix the bleach with the color you may get areas that are lighter than others. Also keep in mind color and lighteners are both chemicals and the chemicals in each may not mix well and could cause damage. Hope that helps!

Always do your ends first since they take the longest to process then go back in and do the roots.. the heat from your scalp makes the roots process faster

I tried to dye my short jet black curly hair the other day with SPLAT (midnight jade) and failed. Not even a tint. I'm gonna try bleaching first and then dying .I wasn't sure if you could bleach and dye the same day let alone right after. Thank you so much for this video!

box dye is terrible for your hair!!! definitely go w this method or find a technique without bleaching but do not use box dye!

Hey! I think it’s best to bleach your hair on hair that has built up oils(dirty) . That way you won’t be damaging your hair too much and your hair will have an extra layer to protect it from the bleach.... so try bleaching when your hair has came out of an old style such as braids , wigs etc ... THEN bleach , process and wash everything out at the end .

I’ve had my color in for almost 2 months now & it’s still pretty vibrant . I think it depends on how much you wash and manipulate your hair. My hair hair started growing back so I do have new growth that’s black! But I’m thinking about doing a color touch up in a couple of weeks so I might update you all then ! Hi! I don’t recommend you going through the whole bleaching process again. If you want to do a color touch I think you’ll be okay with just applying the color directly to your hair and letting it sit. But if you have someone physically there with you who may have more experience with color touch up just have them assist you bc they’ll have a closet and better understanding of your hair 🥺💗💗

Hi love! Yes . The products I used were : 1 bottle of Adore Paprika 1bottle of Adore Orange Blaze 1 BW bleach pack (per section) *depends on hair* Clarol Developer (30 or 40 volume) SHAMPOO CONDITIONER ( LOTS ) OIL (nothing specific, just something you prefer and that works on your hair)

I think it’s your personal preference! You can use a toner if you want an even color . I mainly see others using toners for getting an even blonde color . But in my opinion, if you’re bleaching your hair lighter to put a darker and deeper color on to it then you shouldn’t.

Hey! I haven’t had much bleeding . I recently just re dyed my roots and new growth , so my color is pretty fresh and haven’t bled on any clothes or covers... I think I will be doing a wash routine with my colored hair to show it doesn’t bleed.

As long as she does the things she needs to do now to care for your bleach strands, she will be ok. She already did one thing correctly, and that was adding back pigment into her strands, though not all of it will penetrate. Olaplex is need though to rebuild bonds that have been broken. As you can see from My profile pic, my hair is very much healthy but straightened at the time, But that is all my hair, bleached and colored. It's so faded now that is been three months and shops aren't open, so my roots are completely grown out. My hair is still very soft and healthy, but its because of what I do to maintain it. If you are thinking of bleaching, I'll answer whatever questions you may have. But one thing I would hope for you to do differently, is getting it down professionally.

Hi love! The bleach did not burn my hair or scalp BUT I suggest you being very careful when you’re applying it to make sure it doesn’t get on your skin (arms, fingers,hand,etc) . It can cause a mild irritation so make sure you wear gloves and have towels !

Okay lol to answer all of your questions . The only way the bleach will ruin your hair is if your OVER process it . I’ve bleached my hair multiple times so I know what my time limit for bleaching is . You should start out w/ a lower developer than I used since it’s your first time and you’re scared. Then if you have to go back and lighten it again I suggest doing that separate days. It’s not good to put your hair through a lot of strain if it can’t handle it ! But do not wash your hair before bleaching . That can cause extra irritation to your hair and scalp . I like to color my hair or dry and dirty hair because I know my hair have extra oils and product that have accumulated on my hair strands to protect it more! I hope this helped 💕
