I never could finish closing the roof tip. What does E x 2 mean? Did you click the Left Mouse button twice and pressed S?

I'm not sure what method the cc used, but I use a separate action. Extrude for the height, click to confirm and then S to scale, 0 to give it a point based on the height you've provided. I was looking for fog effect tips for my Lighthouse and wound up here.
