The fact that it started all with a small vertex of a plane and ended up being a pipe with running water is mind blowing! You also solved my problem with respect to water flow through the pipe not toward the gravity!

You can make the pipe without the circle curve. When you make the pipe centerline a curve, then go to Object Data Properties, and select "round". From there, simply choose diameter and resolution.

Like a few others I was missing any liquid from my simulation. I don't know if the author missed a step, or Blender has changed the defaults, but following the instructions exactly did not work. :( After changing a few different values, I finally got it to work. On the sphere, "Surface Emission" was set to 0. Setting this value to a positive number (e.g. 2) allowed the water to be emitted. It would be handy if the author linked to an example file to make it easier to compare.
@vgleviathan9113 жыл бұрын
Great idea to link to an example project. I will look at this idea in future tutorials.
@tarikalpat Жыл бұрын
I have the same issue but I couldn't find the "surface emission" setting. In my project, my pipe is kind of big and the sphere is small(around 0.7) and liquid simulation is not working if the "resulotion divisions" below the 270. Could you help me please?
@QQnowQQlater9 ай бұрын
Following the tutorial exactly worked for me, even in blender 4.0. Surface emission isn't necessary, that just means how far away from the geometry the particles will be emitted. There's probably another issue. Make sure you apply rotation and scale to everything. Other than that it wouldn't really be possible to diagnose outside of someone better, without a blend file to debug. @@tarikalpat
