I've worked my way through this series with Blender open on one monitor and KZbin on another - and in my opinion it's the BEST Blender introduction series you could watch! You'll learn the basic operations of Blender while building a scene that you'll eventually export as a short video - and it smoothly covers all the major steps involved without getting lost in the weeds. By the time you're finished you'll have the understanding and skills to tackle more advanced tutorials, and it's even a heck of a lot of fun! Mr. King, you are *excellent* at this - keep up the great work! 👍

Hey Ryan! Just wanted to tell you that the company I'm doing 3D-design for is using your tutorial as an introductory training course for those of us who need to get caught up on the basics. The company is managed by IKEA btw, just to hammer home what an endorsement it is that you're the one they chose to train new employees. Congratulations and keep it up brother! You're on your way, so just keep going :)

Hello, Ryan. I just discovered this Beginners' series and I hope I can finally make an effective start on my Blender journey. I have browsed through the series until Part 11 and I think you explained every detail very thoroughly. I am using Blender 2.79 as my PC is already 5 years old ( while I am already 66+). Can I use this version to follow your tutorials ?

Hello. Thanks for checking out my videos. There were a lot of changes made with Blender 2.8, so It might be hard to follow along if your using 2.79. It might be better if you followed Blender Guru's old Beginner series using Blender 2.79: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIWYoI2kmd-dbJo

In all honesty. Your probably one of the best guys to follow on YT. Most people are too fast for me to understand, they just go with the doughnut tutorials, or how to make an animated scene, etc. which I don't want. "YET" If anyone wants to know how to learn Blender when I get better from your videos. I'll recommend your channel. :) Especially my friends. :3 I am hoping I can make my own VR Chat Map/World for my Quest 2 so I can hang in it. Etc. I HAVE A GRAVITATION EFFECT NEW CONCEPT THAT I WANT TO DEVELOPPE IN BLENDER SO I WANT TO LEARN MORE ON BLENDER TO MAKE MY PROJECT AS I AM THINKING IT TO BE BUT I FIND MY SELF SO FAR TO GET SO SKILLS AS YOU TO DEVELOPPE IT ASAP SOME BASICS ARE NECESSARY FOR MY CONCEPT THAT I DO NOT FIND IN TUTORIALS AS: FOR EXMPLE; I WANT TO CREATE A 3D SPACE MAKE BY CUBES, IN THIS SPACE I WANT TO DROP A MASS EXEMPLE A PLANNET WHICH WILL OCCUPED A SPACE INTO THIS 3D CUBES SPACE THE PLANETE WILL ABSORBE THE CUBES IN ITS SPACE AND BY THE WAY THESE CUBES WILL NOT HAVE THEIR ORIGINAL DIMENTIONS BECAUSE THEY ARE ABSORBED BY THE PLANET AND HAVE BEEN CONTRACTED BY ITS GRAVITATION EFFECT SO THE FIRST CUBES ORGINAL WHERE FOR EXAMPLE A 1*1*1 U, DIMENTION BUT WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN ABSORBED THEY BECAME 0.5*0.5*0.5 U, AND THIS RATIO DEPENDS ON THE GRAVITY DENSITY OF EATCH SUBJECT, FOR EXAMPLE IN A BALCK HOLE CUBES WILL BCAM 0.00001*0.00001*0.00001 U, RATIO THE ORIGINAL CUBES. I WANT TO CREAT A EFFECT OF THIS SUBJECT ON SPACE WHEN IT IS MOVING AND CONTRACTING THE SPACE AROUND IT BY CONTRACTING THE SPACE OCCUPED AND DILATATE THE SPACE AOUND IT BY THE SAME RATIO, FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE CUBE IS CONRACTED BY 0.5*0.5*0.5 IN WITHIN THE PLANET, IT WILL BE 1.5*1.5*1.5 THE CUBES AROUND THE SPACE OF THE PLANET AND WILL REGRESS FROM 1.5*1.5*1.5 ON THE SURFACE OF THE PLANET TO RETURN 1*1*1 IN A DISTANCE FROM THE PLANET WHERE NON GRAVITATION EFFECT WILL BE OCCURED. MY CONCEPT IS BASED ON THIS EXPLANATION IF YOU COULD UNDESTAND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR. PLEASE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED TO HELP ME FOR THIS PROJECT WE CAN WORK TOGETHER ON AND I WILL GIVE YOU ALL NECESSARY SKECH OR ESQUIS YOU NEED. BEST REGARDS Moins

I was looking for a tutorial for noobs explaining transition from Sketchup to Blender. Unfortunately I hear in this intro that you intend to teach use of shortcut keys.... AAAGH! Many people - me included - HATE shortcut keys. Why bother to learn a whole list of shortcut keys when the tool icons are already there in the UI? An icon also depicts its use which is not the case with keys!
