I really hope this is this case. Earlier it was so limited by time, but now with the technologies making it so accessible we could have a true 'era' I feel. When I saw the title, I knew exactly what you were demonstrating! After watching it, my assumption was correct! I might not have the most experience with CGI software, but I never encountered a feature that lets you modify models on the fly within animation. Sure, you could create a separate model for each action, but I don't see it as intuitive as basically taking the same model and greatly tweaking it in another frame. This is like the model version of Grease Pencil, which is what brought me to Blender in the first place!

Wait, are you sculpting a mesh for each frame, or does it interpolate between meshes of different topologies?
@Selicre4 жыл бұрын
Interpolating meshes like that is extremely untrivial, so I think it's a mesh per-frame and you interpolate them by hand with sculpt tools.
@SlayerDUDE19934 жыл бұрын
in blender you have object mode and edit mode, when you enter edit mode you edit mesh data, when you out of edit mode, you edit container which contain that mesh data, so it pretty much looks like that in this concept he just create a new mesh data inside this container for each frame so it's no interpolation, its just like if you draw frame by frame inbetweens like you usually do in 2D hand drawn animation.

I’m having a hard time following what’s going on as I’m still a Blender illiterate... so, basically, all the sculpt tools, posing tools, modifiers (displacement and remesher) are Blender’s builtin features right? What this plugin is tackling is handling the keyframing of said sculpting/posing features am I right? Either way, if those sculpt tools are part of the KeyMesh I would get that... and if it is only the key framing of mesh data, well, I’ll take that too.
