How fortunate we guitarists are to have access to this guy. If I had this lesson as a 14 year old kid my musical journey would be so beyond where i am now. However, as a 72 year old kid, I'm still enjoying the journey. So many new things to learn!

Thank you for showing one lick and how to make many more melodic licks from that one lick. That is my light bulb moment. You are a very inspiring musician.

A seriously excellent lesson. Brilliant way to blend the major and minor pentatonics. Bravo!👏 👏👏👏👏

Initally learned this as the hybid Amaj scale, but in only one position. Using the SLIDEY technique to connect the other hybid positions really opens the fretboard to so many more opportunities. This was a lightbub moment for me, Brian. THX!! Going to challenge myself by doing this in a different keys too.

Brilliant lesson!! Easy to understand and after learning the mechanics of the lick, I'm already making subtle changes just based on what I think sounds good to me. I really love these micro lessons because it gives me a simple concept that I can work into my knowledge base. Cheers!

Wow Brian...I've been struggling to get my head around how to meld the 5 cage patterns together and this Slicky Slide lesson really helped me get to know how to do it. Of course not perfectly, but you made it clear that there were all these different patterns intertwined in the same area on the fretboard. Great lesson! Hope you can come up with some more like it so I can finally get this stuff so I can see it, hear it and do it automatically. Thanks!

Hello Brian, great lesson again. I am a Premium member since many yesrs. My question: why do not explane the notes by name like A or C sharp for example?
@activemelody9 күн бұрын
i don't think that way i guess.
@reddottx9 күн бұрын
I see that it does work and that it’s a blend of major and minor but I don’t see WHY it works. I would just be copying you on this one. I think you were trying to explain it in the flat third section but it didn’t breakthrough for me. Still think you’re the best though! Thanks!
