Thanks! It's one of those paintings that has been sitting around for a while, so it was a perfect piece to help me get a bit more done! Are you a painter?

@@heatherbradbury7134 yes, I am! But a struggling beginner, not advanced like you. Your work is beautiful.

Beginning something is always a bit daunting, but I am here to help! What other things would you like to learn? and I am curious to know what you are stuggling with the most?

@@heatherbradbury7134 Color-matching is the hardest, I think. I have read and watched so much over the years about color-mixing and understand at a basic level about warms and cools and how muddy colors come to be and how they can be good in the right situation and how pigments need to be pure to create pure colors and how to choose and use a limited palette and the importance of having a mid-value palette surface and starting with a mid-value canvas, etc., etc.. Honestly, I could write a little 20- or 30-page booklet on color-mixing, if knowledge were the only issue. But still my color is never "right." My instincts aren't right.

Thanks for the detailed description... I hear you! I will make sure I focus on colour mixing over the next few weeks, so stay tuned! I really want to find a way to make it easier for people to learn the colour mixing side of painting. It is such a key part!
