with ice it's best to start the blender upside down and slowly right it or the blades will jam as you found

Exactly! It’s very good with ice (cero water) but as you say, that’s the way to blend it.

I bought the blend jet 1 also and it doesn’t blend properly..before I bought it I looked at so many good views but it sucks .. now I’m trying to decide if I want to spend money on the blend jet 2 . Great video though the blend jet 2 looks totally better .

It'll crush ice by itself there was something going on with your unit sometimes it'll flash red like that when it's not charged or if it's not tightened properly that was weird that yours did that cuz the other ones I've seen they're shredding ice unless it did have a little jam in there or something I don't know what that was

They need to make it easier to screw and screw in the bottom mine is like super stiff and super hard somebody with joint problems stiff joints or like a bad shoulder makes it very difficult I understand it needs to have a tight seal but they could you know redo it

I would check with BlendJet themselves but it might be that your base isn't screwed on correctly. Try taking it off and screwing it back on nice and tight? Good luck!

Where is the closeup to see the consistency of the smoothie and blended ice water? That was the big problem of the original blend jet, did not blend fruit to a smoothielike consistency, only powder like the ready made packs they sell us.

Watch when I pour, you can see it's pretty darn smooth and consistent. But yes, a closeup would have been better! :-)

Why does NO ONE go over which way the rubber gasket goes on the bottom?! I put it in upside down with the grooves in wrong & couldn't open it for months.

That's a good question! Never really thought about the problem of putting the gasket in incorrectly. Glad you finally got it worked out.

Mine took nearly 3 months to receive. I believe that the lavender one was on back stock. Just trying it today. Excited because I am a 30 year vegan who enjoys my kale blends, vegan protein powders , etc.. It's so convenient to get my veggies in!

@@AskDaveTaylor I think they mean the BlendJet 2 has an auto shutoff feature. From other reviewers and the company's info, it shuts itself off after 20 seconds so you don't have to. You still got a great blend though! Thanks for the review. I'm thinking of getting one after being a faithful Magic Bullet user for over 10 years!

Great job as always Dave. I bought the last Mint Blendjet 2 a few days ago at a pre-Black Friday sale in my local Kohls. I made three smoothies thus far with and without ice and the unit has performed as advertised. The website is very helpful in resolving many issues. The company is all over social media.

Honestly, it should work regardless of what order you add things in my opinion. I want devices that work with my approach to things, not force me to change how I work or cook to meet the design constraints of the gizmo. I know, what's not always realistic! 🙂

Why use expensive oak milk in smoothies. Just put in water with some rolled oats. The blender turns that into fresh oat milk.

They must have added an extra color because the color I got is not listed in there which is the royal blue one and nowhere in there did you show a royal blue on your blend yet color wheel display and royal blue is my favorite color but the one they sent me is not royal blue it's in a purple family it's a violet or an indigo now I saw the one of the blue ones that you showed in there that blue one looks good but it's not a royal blue but it's a different blue it's still cute

I bought 2 this piece of junk barely mixes water, does not do anything hard and you're lucky if the charge lasts for more than 6 blends. So if you want a machine to stir your chocolate milk sure it's ok buy it.

I'd reach out to the company, that's definitely not what most people experience with this device. But it's not intended to let you blend hundreds of times on a single charge either, so you might have overly high expectations of this product category too. :-)
