Blenheim Palace Railway • Winston • Palace Station and Walled Garden Station

Blenheim Palace has large gardens and grounds all around and the Blenheim Palace Railway takes passengers between the station near the Palace, suitably called the Palace Station, and the Walled Garden.
Winston, the little diesel engine built to look like a traditional steam loco, was built in 2014 for the railway. Since then it has done hundreds, or is that tens of thousands, of trips up and back down the almost-1km long line.
Hardly an epic journey but, non the less, I had a fun ride on a railway today.

Now that's a clever thought! There were great places to pitch a tent or two in the gardens - if all the visitors were not there too, walking past all the time! lol :)

Nice day out. Visiting monthly and recording the change seems like a fun thing to do.

It is too far to go to visit that often but for sure we will be back in the summer time to enjoy the gardens in bloom. :)
