His origin originally was more real at the time. That was our reality in certain areas. Being smart didn’t help you in certain hoods. So yeah this new origin is cool for todays climate but the old one was spot on for the time.

Ebon is reminding me of the cult leader from the original static run, in which, said cult leader pushed Static to become more and more ruthless. I'm betting that'll be an overarching theme throughout this entire run, but this will be Virgil's first trial.

Awesome new Static video Static is childhood memories for me. 5:21 beyond perfect example of a character who kill without feeling anything and still maintain his personality. Plus he is also one of my favorite comic book anti heroes.

I won't say that Ebon is Magneto material, but he is definitely a supervillan that is to Static what many Flash supervillans are to him. Mirror Master, Captain Cold, Top, and Reverse Flash can neutralize Flash's superspeed in such a way that he needs to be creative with his speed. Static is going to learn to be just as creative against Ebon.

I never saw Magneto as a villain but as the other option homo sapiens would have to face if they didn't adhere to Xavier's idea for peaceful mutant/human coexistence.

Well I understand why some people feel the notion of you should kill the villains, here's my thing. One, that mindset mostly affects people that look like Virgil and Ebon and me. If all the heroes just killed villains, that really doesn't make them any different than the village because then they're just to kill the killer that they're claiming to fight against? How can I see the called himself a hero with that many bodies? And two, what does killing the bad guys actually solve? Yeah you can say they won't be doing any pet things anymore, but does that actually solve all the problems they caused? Do the families actually get Justice? Will that person be held accountable for their actions? No, because they're dead. You can't hold them accountable, you can't get more information from them, and in the context of this story, if you take out one, another is just going to show up because they're a bunch of hired goons. Killing them off would be cathartic in the moments, but again, it doesn't actually solve anything, not in a significant way that matters.

He gave static shock a warning a true villain wouldn't Also what Innocent people will be getting in his way To save his brother? The answer is they wouldn't be innocent because they are in a process Of getting in the way of helping someone stop being tortured.

Joker has died before just like other supervillains and heroes and came back to life the writers even had Batman notice this and say killing villains is pointless.

Exactly I think it should be on a case by case basis on whether or not a hero should kill or not. Every villain is different so how u handle them is gonna be different sometimes u lock them up and keep them locked up or lock them up and redeem them later on.

And where do you draw the line? Do you include Killers? What about the Drug Lords? Do you include Killers and Drug Lords? What about the Rapist? Do you include Killers, Drug lords, And Rapist? What about the mugger who beat a lady so badly she's eating through a straw? It gets murkier and murkier the deeper you go. You'd have to be Judge Dredd to keep a consistent code in the face of all that.
