Sad thing is most German announcers talk a lot at air shows. They even destroy loud and Wonderful RR Merlins. But, I doo love Germany and Germans. I so miss Rüdesheim und Eltville

This is amazing, thank you for sharing! I'm researching Bleriot myself as part of a larger project about the Bleriot Anniversary Race in 1959, that my late father was a competitor in. Als ich 1979 von Misjö Salis ( ein Luftpionier der unteranderen für Filmaufnahmen fliegt ) aus Frankreich eingeladen wurde konnte dieses Flugzeug sehen und diese Technik ist überwältigend, bis ins kleinste Deteil durchdacht. Wer einmal in diese fliegenden Kisten war möchte nie wieder zufuß gehen.

Dieses Flugzeug besitzt kein steuerbares Höhen/Seitenruder sondern wird nur durch das verstellen des Winkels der Tragflächen geflogen, und der Motor kann nur auf Vollgas laufen und wird entweder Ein oder Aus geschaltet. Als Treibstoff wird Rizinusöl verwendet, eigentlich ein biologisches Medikament bei der Verstopfung.

Der Motor besitzt auch keinen Anlasser deswegen muß der Motor von Hand gestartet werden. Und weil keine Bremsen ebenso vorhanden sind, deswegen muß das Flugzeug auch "gefangen" werden.

Korrekt. Der Flieger von Mikael Carlson ist aber eine Schwedische Lizenz Produktion, und die hatten einen anderen und stärkeren Motor. Danke fürs anschauen 😎👍

Wrong engine! Oryginal engine was 3 pistons 25 HP Anzani!

The first planes built by Bleriot in France had the Anzani engine. This is a later model built in Sweden by AETA - AB Enoch Thulins Aeroplanfabrik - under the name Thulin A. It´s the original engine to this plane. Plane and engine belong together, this is an original restored barnfind, it´s not a modern recreation. I hope you enjoy the video anyway, Thanks for watching 👍

This plane was built with a rotary - and the one used by Bleriot to cross the channel didn't have a radial but a W Anzani. BUT I know that there is one on Olde Rhinebek with a 3cyl. Anzani radial.

It is an original engine used on this plane in 1918 by the Swedish Airforce. It has more power than the first planes built by Bleriot.

THe guy spinning the prop is an absolute danger. TO perform that kind of operation, you must remove from your body and clothing ALL objects that might fall or fly away during the operation and induce an uncontrolled attempt to grag them..and get in prop way : glasses on the nose or in pocket, watch, all jewelry, cap...etc. This guy would be OUT OF BOUNDS instantl;y.

Tja ... ich denke für die "breite Masse" der Besucher ist das gut, der ununterbrochene Redefluss. Ich würde mir wünschen das es wenigsten an den Ecken des Geländes ein Stück ohne Lautsprecher gäbe ... einfach mal den Sound hören können, ohne Geplapper, egal ob das kompetent ist oder nicht was da geredet wird ..

Tja, auf der Hahnweide wirst du leider überall volle Lautstärke beschallt. Ich hätte auch lieber einen ruhigeren Ort wo ich nur den Motorsound aufnehme. So ein Flightline Zugang wäre mal was 😎
