Bless Unleashed mage build guide ( while leveling )

Not sure if this will help anyone but I figured I’d put my 2 cents in how I play my mage. I’ve stuck to wolf blessing for a while, up to leg(gold/yellow) breaths and I’d recommend getting all your mana crystals or all but one ready, throw out a blizzard, then after it is cast overcharge as blizzard lasts 8 seconds and overcharge is 11 seconds fully stacked. Once overcharge is used crit rate goes to 100+% and will do full damage. Overcharging before you cast seems to waste precious time you can use to build novas. If I do this correctly my blizzard and 4 novas will stack all in the 11 seconds and you will do massive damage. While building crystals and waiting for overcharge to come back, spam frost spike to build crystals with the least amount of mana consumed. Hope this helps someone down the road. I am currently focusing on Diablo 2 resurrected and it may be some time before I consider making more bless unleashed content. blizzard helps a lot with this build. pop your blizzard, then use your amplify so the blizzard damage converts to 100% crits, and then you can rip 3-4 quick novas. you'll have a double blizzard doing a bunch of passive damage + accumulating tons of critical hits for the quick cooldowns

I learened from this video but i made a few tweaks. I play solo so i don't always rely on blizzard because it takes a few seconds to cast and it's stationary when it deals damage. so you need to keep out of reach while casting. So I use the environment to buy time when i can. Like hop a fence then start casting because by the time the enemy runs around to attack me I'll be almost done casting. Then when i cast i hop the fence again and attack to keep them distracted and I stay out of reach while Blizzard hits them. But before I use Blizzard I always make sure I'm at full health so I can take a few hits if I have to. But anyways I play on console so i don't waste an ability slot for blink. Yes it generates mana crystals but thats what frost spike is for. And all blink does is move you then goes on cooldown when you can just dodge. So I use Frost spike to get mana crystals, then use amplify once I have a full crystal meter, then arcane flash twice. You can do the second one if it's within 3 seconds of using the first. And if you aim it right you can blast mobs twice, then use Blizzard if the conditions are right or Frost nova. Then spam regular hits to get mana or dodge and use concentrate which is your bread and butter as a mage. Free mana, just gotta keep moving to avoid getting hit. And change it up if you fight a boss that moves around alot. And for gear always go for a wand with a higher attack power first since mages are traditionally glass canons in rpgs and kill enemies before they get hit.

I wish I had found this video when I started playing. Took me a while to figure out mana crystals ect. About rotation, I suggest starting with blizzard and then use amplify. The cast time of blizzard is too long, probably keeping you from using one more nova For this build you want to upgrade Amplify Frost blessing till you get -2s from crits, and later spending about 150k star seeds on 2 purple breaths for the -3s from crits (probably only at mid-late game)

Just to throw this out there, there is a caveat on the “amplify frost” blessing, it doesn’t proc on the crits by blizzard. Not sure if this was added later or just missed in the video but it nerfs the rotation a bit.

Are you taking advantage of the ancient alter? You can spend 10k starseeds to get 10 draws it is random BUT you can sell other class breaths to in return buy yours off the market if you didn’t already get from alter. This is the most efficient ways I’ve found. I THINK some dungeons can offer them as rewards also.
