Playing the Barbara Buehlman arrangement in my Wind Ensemble class my highschool

Some 50 years ago, when I was in the 7th grade in concert band, I had the privilege of learning under the direction of Barbara Buehlman, I had no idea how blessed I was. We were little 6th, 7th and 8th graders competing against high school and college bands and thought nothing of it. Wish I had never given up the French Horn.

@@ephraimpinckney8209 Totally! Technically challenging, but also emotionally taxing! It's an 8 minute long moment of grief and recognition of the fallen, so any invested performance of it takes a lot out of the players in more ways than one.
