The performers on stage did a great job leading this fine modern worship hymn. The lead singer ("Hope Cross"?) was just SO passionate I could feel it through my TV screen,. The words clearly displayed onscreen in large print, so even those in the back of the auditorium could follow and sing along easily. This video, filmed with multiple cameras has been very competently put together, so after all of those good points I must ask... BUT...what gives with that audience ? Bar about 6 of them, I think they're all half asleep. I think they're only standing up because some elder shouted at them and told them they had to stand bolt upright. Now maybe this was the eleventh song in a row and they're just plain tuckered out, but how come they're not a-hootin' and a-hollerin' and dancin' around to show their joy for the Lord, I'll never know ! As it says in Psalm 149.3 (NIV) "Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp."

I don't think it's about karma. That phrase is from Job 1:21 “Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”. Remember what Job went through? He was described as a person who loved God so much and was blameless. And yet, those bad things happened to him: he lost all of his children and his possessions. In the middle of his devastation, he uttered those words in a worshipful manner. He seemed to find comfort in the fact that God is STILL SOVEREIGN despite what's happening around him. It's not focused on God being a GIVER and a TAKER like we imagine karma to be. It's recognizing that God is still GOD whatever the circumstance. I too find comfort in knowing that my God is Above All. The story of Job has helped me in my walk with Christ. When we go through troubled times, sometimes we even ask, "Do I deserve all of these things that are happening to me?" Then I remember Job's story. I think I've already said too much. 😅 I encourage you to study this book. God bless!
