What is the use of collecting hundreds or thousands of other scriptures? If someone living in this Kali-yuga does not have the scripture Bhāgavataṁ in his home, how can he be considered a Vaiṣṇava? In fact, in Kali-yuga a brāhmaṇa who does not have the scripture Bhāgavataṁ in his home is worse than a dog-eater. 0 brāhmaṇa Nārada, wherever in Kali-yuga the scripture Bhāgavataṁ is present, there Lord Hari will go along with the thirteen principal demigods. - Skanda Purāṇa, Viṣṇu-kāṇḍa 5.16.40,42,44
