Hey you are an 'engineer'... can you explain the first pillar of the EFF in terms of the 25 year lease period and who decides, who appoints and on what basis are tenants allowed to use that land again. I checked the manifaestos and the founding document and there is very little detail. Just yesterday I heard that the government is launching a bn rand housing program. This will never produce proper and dignified housing for South Africans unless SA government discontinue the tender system, study and master housing projects of other great countries. Actually, the UK USA and Canada have very successful and dignified housing projects. In fact, our own Mr Moeletsi Mbeki was involved in a few of housing projects in UK. I think it was in South Port or Liverpool.The government need to employ such planning and strategies lest we end up with low life and ridiculous projects.
