Great review! What a nice mill setup. Looks to be very solid and well worth the money. Hopefully I won't need a new mill for a while, but when I do this is certainly an option. Cheers Brian!

JB is really top shelf with brewing equipment. That unit looks like a real winner. Thanks for sharing Brian. Not sure I can justify 1300 for my home brewery but you never know. Cheers.

Yeah I hear you. I wonder how an increase in efficiency = less grain used would equate to break even point. Depends on how much and often you brew I suppose. 👍🍻

@@ShortCircuitedBrewers that’s a great point. Life cycle cost might be worth it. That thing looks like it would run forever where most mills break down in a couple years. I may have to run the math!!

Great review. This mill would be a great asset for a homebrew shop, or for BrewTubers doing frequent brew vidyas. But for homebrewing, at 1200+ greenbacks? My complete Brew Easy system wasn't too much more than that. I like it, it seems super robust, the stand is a great addition. The ease of adjustment alongside the stand a industrial quality screams, peace of mind if you are moving volumes of grain, brewing commercially, or supplying cracked grains to a clientele. Blichmann goods are always well engineered. We had to take notice of their attention to quality right from the start. The question remains, how much actual crushing is required to keep me brewing at apace satisfactory to my consumption. Great Product, Great Review Brian.

Thanks for the great review! I'm curious about how this mill compares with the RMS Micromill. The Blichmann mill has about 44% more throughput capacity than the RMS Micromill, but is about 1/4 the cost. What makes RMS so much more expensive? Especially when the Blichmann mill has fluted rollers, while the RMS Micromill has knurled rollers, which are considered less ideal than fluted rollers from what I understand. I'd appreciate any input! Thanks!

I cannot speak to the difference as I've not used the RMS.

@@steventrott8714 WOuld love to see a sturdy stainless steel frame available. You would never need to buy another mill again and only maintain or replace parts that wear. (reason I hate MDF is that it contains formaldehyde in the adhesive used in the manufacturing process. Breathing in MDF dust or fibres is hazardous: Formaldehyde is a class 1 carcinogen. Very toxic and linked to cancer and other illnesses)
