The best video document we have of this composition and one of the best performances I have heard of it. Undoubtedly the best video to follow the 2005 reunion. A moving and at times angry liturgy here with an impressive performance level from each of the trio members. The vocal dynamics are simply superb.

Every time I listen to Hamill it seems to me he is not really capable to sing... but his just telling me his personal drama, in every fucking song... just like we sitting in front of each other... definitely one of the best performers I've ever heard in my life... simply amazing!!!

At first I too couldn't understand why he was singing, doesn't sound so great but, he grew on me because of the content and his emotions so strong, you can feel his frustration angst compassion fear love and though seemingly hopeless he ends most songs in a victorious shout. Highly intelligent man Peter Hammill. He does give it his all too. Watch the veins in his neck and forehead bulge! What a great performer!!

this are the inventors of art rock - i´ve seen them in the seventhies in the londoner roundhouse - overwhelming how peter hammill was crawling over floor while singing. in former times they didn´t have a guitar, this part takes the saxophonist in an expressive way. One of the best bands in the seventhies.

I respect this trio immensely, but nothing replaces the complete band with bass and saxophones. The sheer density of VDGG with full instrumentation created Prog-Punk chaos like no other band.

Ich habe sie als Jungspunt (70gerJahre) im Londoner Roundhouse gesehen. Peter Hamill kroch beim Singen artrockgerecht über den Boden. Wenn eine Band den Namen Artrock verdient, dann waren VDGG die Erfinder dieses Stils. Selbst im Theaterhaus in Stuttgart war die Show der schon älteren Herren sensationiell. Wem die frühen Genesis schon zu kommerziell waren, der wurde hier nicht enttäuscht. Solche Musik sucht heute Seinesgleichen.

La fuerza interpretativa de Hamill es admirable. Aunque repito echo de menos al saxofonista, pues le da todo un concepto mas acabado al grupo. Es mi humilde opinión.
