My experience with blind bags in the UK is you just feel the bags to get the one you want. The employees don't care. Often they'll even help you find the one you want.

American parents are actually wayyy stricter than that from my experience. I’ve had multiple British transfers as friends and their parents were extremely nice, they let us do whatever we wanted, and overall we’re good at listening to reasons.
