Here it is, the one you've all been waiting for! _Finally_ we get to see Rainbow Dash's parents. It seems now all the mane 6's parents are accounted for. Well, except maybe Applejack, though at this point it's fairly safe to say there's a good reason for that one.

+Dallin We _are_ on the Canadian schedule (notice the treehouse logo in the bottom right of the video overlay), just not fully caught up. (I.e. We haven't seen episodes 10 or 11 yet.) Video releases are on the US schedule though, since I'm not really sure how Hasbro feels about "early" uploads on KZbin.

We finally got the chance to meet Rainbow Dash's parents, Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles. Rainbow Dash was embarrassed by them, but she still loved them. The door and Scootaloo as a fangirl were hilarious. We all loved our parents and they will always support us 🌈🌈🌈🥹🥹🥹🤣🤣🤣

I feel like the people who aren’t on Dash’s side, have never had parents like her’s, or they are just not seeing the big picture. Overpraising is a serious issue. Parents who OVERpraise, not praise, but go over the top with it (RD’s parents setting off fireworks-), often create narcissistic, unprepared, and extremely competitive children. By saying, “you’re amazing!” “you’re perfect” (greatest towel hanger of all time?? Haha), you are making the child feel as if they don’t have to do anything to be great, because you keep praising them for insignificant things. So because of this narcissism, they put aside motivation for things like good grades, etc. and it creates attention-seeking kids, that only try at things in order to get praised. It also makes children unprepared when they are facing problems they cannot solve. When they FINALLY doubt their own skills, it sends them into a spiral. They face an identity crisis, realizing that they really aren’t the shit. (Before the rainboom was performed in the contest). And RD? Self-absorbed, unprepared when facing doubt, and very competitive. Hm.

This is an odd one for me because I love this episode to pieces however there were a couple of moments that I didn't care for in particular: First of all Scootaloo, she seemed completely blind to Rainbow's embarrasment of her parents, and when Rainbow told her how she was feeling she made her feel bad that she had made Rainbow's parents cry, which admittedly Rainbow shouldn't have done that; she should have talked to them calmly about her feelings, but in that situation where the preasure kept building up she finally lost it and said some things that she shouldn't have, which everyone has done at some point. 　 Also Rainbow's parents; while I did laugh at their antics thinking about it they really messed up The Wonderbolt's routine by throwing fireworks and disrupting everything that they did, I get that they were excited but there's such a thing as too much support, which we saw with Vapor Trail's backstory in Top Bolt. 　 The fact that the episode made it Rainbow's fault with how she acted was definitely wrong, don't get me wrong I love the episode so much, but the end lesson was definitely wrong; at least in my opinion. 　 However upon saying that I love this episode, Scootaloo's delight at seeing Rainbow's parents, the music playing whenever the door opened made me laugh like crazy and other moments like that were great, plus we actually saw the Wonderbolts being nice to Rainbow, they seemed like they wanted to say something or make fun of her but instead they just gave her a look and a smile, which I appreciated seeing. 　 Also I don't think that Scootaloo is an orphan, you can have parents that aren't supportive. I just don't see Hasbro making a main character an orphan. Also Rainbow did say that she was the youngest in the flying group at that time, so I'm guessing that she and Lightning Dust didn't hang out when they were younger. 　 So yeah, overall an odd episode for me personally because I did love the episode, just a couple of moments that I mentioned I didn't particularly care for. But even so the episode is definitely up there as one of my favorite Rainbow centered episodes. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

Yes that was derpy! but have a look at her eyes, when rainbow gets higher derpy's eyes go (weirder? i geuss). so this may be implying that derpy was a really good flyer but her eyes gave her trouble. time: 18:37

Her action was wrong but you have no right to blame rainbow dash. After all of that anyone would've snapped. Don't like how the show made it seem like it was rainbow's fault. Also a lot of people expect rainbow's cocky side to vanish but act all calm with fluttershy's shyness. The hypocrisy. Really rainbow dash and rarity are definitely the best characters with the most character development.

This is the one episode I almost have a problem with because the parents really are over the top. They put people in danger with their excessive praise! But maybe they did learn their lesson because of their comment about Rainbow's apology being embarrassing. Could've been clearer. But considering the show went seven seasons before that happened, it's doing pretty good.

This is the episode that made me call this the best season yet. And while it's no longer my favorite episode of the season, it's still number 2.

This season has been amazing. I still can't bring myself to call it better than season 5 though; I mean, _Slice of Life_ *and* _Crusaders of the Lost Mark_ both in the same season? Really hard to beat. ;-)

While those ARE amazing, the consistency of this season's quality has made it the best... ESPECIALLY after episode 10

Haven't seen episodes 10 or 11 yet so perhaps those will change my mind. But I do agree that this season has certainly been the most consistent so far in terms of episode quality. Pretty much every episode has been excellent.

After watching this episode who else has a feeling that Lightning Dust and Wind Rider are planning revenge on Rainbow Dash with the help of the Shadowbolts? The current writers need to be informed about season 1 episode 2. Think about it. If Nightmare Moon was locked away for a 1000 years she couldn't have heard of the Wonderbolts to create the Shadowbolts to fool Rainbow Dash right? So here's my personal idea for the show. In season 1 episode 2 when the main 6 were helping the sea serpent Nightmare Moon discovered the hideout of the Shadowbolts. She peeked in an saw how they look like. This gave her an idea. When the main 6 arrived to the broken bridge Nightmare Moon took the form of 3 pegasuses and copied the Shadowbolts uniforms. Thats how she was trying to fool Rainbow Dash. In short Nightmare Moon IMPERSONATED the Shadowbolts! But she was unaware that the Shadowbolts leader Nightshade secretly followed her and saw everything in the bushes. And when the Shadowbolts would make their appearance Nightshade would tell Rainbow Dash what really happened and show a photo to Rainbow Dash. And on the photo we can see Rainbow Dash in her season 2 Nightmare Night costume, meaning Rainbow Dash was a Shadowbolt once. Lightning Dust and Wind Rider would also appear as Shadowbolts. They would make Rainbow Dash join the Shadowbolts so the main 5 has to come up with a way to save Rainbow Dash becouse the more time she spends with the Shadowbolts the more she gives in to her darker side and she pulls more pranks. Also I think Lightning Dust and Wind Rider was watching the Wonderbolt performance and were planning revenge. I would like to see the look on Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles faces when they meet the Shadowbolts, when they meet Lightning Dust and Wind Rider as Shadowbolts, and when they found out that there daughter has joined the Shadowbolts. Note: a Wonderbolts vs Shadowbolts episode is exactly what the show needs and a Shadowbolt Rainbow Dash. And if Scootaloo has problems with flying the Shadowbolts could help her. My understanding is that the Shadowbolts aren't real; they were a construct Nightmare Moon made up to trick Rainbow Dash. If I remember correctly, Rainbow didn't seem to have heard of them before they first confronted her. Though I could totally imagine Wind Rider and Lightning Dust making a return; that might be interesting.
