Hoon had a very soulful voice. He used to sing Yankee rose by David Lee Roth in his basement when we were kids. He had stage presents way back then. But it always suprises me to read comments about how much his songs mean to people. Its amazing!

The thing I love about Blind Melon the most is that they weren't like every other band in which every other song was a love song or a song which had nearly no meaning. The guys in blind melon wrote about the things people usually don't write about. Like what they feel inside and what they stand for, and theyre overall emotion. All of Melon's songs have incredibly deep lyrics, and by far the deepest lyrics ive ever heard and seen in my life. Blind Melon was incredibly underrated in their time.

It is called "All I Can Say" and its more of a documentary not a movie. As much as he was so talented I don't need to see another movie about a rockstar with a drug addiction who died young. There have already been movies made about this so, do we really need to see more of them? It is a sad and tragic life to be addicted to drugs and such a waste of talent.

first of all lets get one thing straight, no one killed shannon. he suffered from drug abuse, that he dealt with for many years. no one can sit here and point the finger at him. he was a man with great talent. he just wasnt strong enough to kick the habit. he didnt kill himself or choose to die the way he did. remember the man for what he brought to your life. blind melon and shannon were apart of my generation and their music brought something to my life. respect the man. YOUR ARE MISSED.

2021 I bought a book about the band recently! After reading it I have become an avid fan. They are superb i love all the tracks yes i remember loving No Rain back i the day but my god they have written some classics this song included! Shannon is quite the best front man I've witnessed god bless his soul. But your still making fans even now your legacy grows ❤

I prefer Change over No Rain. Shannon Hoon's lyricism as well as acoustic guitar accompaniment just transcends time. Everytime I feel like just giving up I just: Play and sing or listen to this song. I performed this song for my ex girlfriend and she enjoyed it. Sadly no rain(as good as a song that it is) overshadows masterpieces such as: St Andrews Fall/Hall,Letters from a Porcupine, Weeping the Willow, Ever Had the Feeling, Life ain't so shitty, Toes Across the Floor, Car Seat(God's Presents),Vernie, Wooh dog and so many more written by the late Shannon Hoon. I get annoyed when people could only remember Blind Melon by terms like Bee Girl or No Rain. Just so glad my father introduced me to this band. Definitely my favorite band( up there with Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden,Blue October,Audioslave,Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Grateful Dead just to name a few. I know Blind Melon's songs just reinforce hope within in me when I feel like everything in life becomes over bearing and I decide to push foward even if giving up seems like a comfortable alternative it is never the correct one. Rest in peace Shannon Hoon. This band, my dad teaching how to play guitar as well as going to a Pearl Jam concert with my father on November 24,2013 at the La Sports Areana inspired to pick up a guitar and just start writting rock n' roll songs and ballads like my dad.
