04:10 Fishmen seem to have some kind of innate "water magic". Most just use it to swim very fast, but some have refined it into a martial art (such as Arlong sending Luffy flying by splashing water at him in episode 6. And the 'fishman karate' guy doesn't show it here, but he can do roundhouse kicks underwater as if it was air) As for Chuu, he is an archerfish fishman. Real life archerfish hunt by spitting water at bugs to knock them into the water, but Chuu obviously exaggerates the concept.

Zoro and Sanji are like your two older brothers that fight a lot and talk trash to each other, but when things get real, they got each other’s back and the rest of the family (crew) as well. Also about Grandpa Garp. While it’s true he didn’t want Luffy to be a pirate, he already knew deep down that Luffy was a pirate at heart and could not be changed. However I think Garp was more like wanting to prevent Luffy from entering the Grand Line. That place is no joke. That’s a place where people like Mihawk dwell. And not just people, there are other things in the Grand Line that make it tough for anyone to sail in. Garp knows this so of course he doesn’t want his grandson to go there. Thus the tests. To see if Luffy is really ready and resolved to enter the Grand Line.
@mechasatsu6214 Жыл бұрын
Its heavily implied, in this adaptation alone, Garp's biggest fear is not Luffy entering the Grand Line, it's his potential to actually be the King of the Pirate following Roger's footsteps. He doesn't want to witness his Grandson's execution.
@lastsunofkrypton7950 Жыл бұрын
@@mechasatsu6214 That’s true. However you can’t be King of the Pirates without entering the Grand Line and finding the One Piece. Like Zeff said, you can have a dream but it’s also a lot different than pursuing it. I believe Garp wanted to see for himself that Luffy has the real resolve as an adult to make it as a pirate. And yes to accept whatever consequences that come with following his dream…..even death.

Yeah, if Garp wanted to, he could've solo'd the Straw Hat crew, the Arlong Pirates, and then sink the island they were on all on his own. I'm serious, lmao. Do keep in mind as well that people like Garp, Mihawk, and Shanks do not have Devil Fruit powers. They're just THAT strong.

Wanna comment and clear up a few things :3 1.Your reactions are amazing!! You seem to be very true to your opinions and pay attention to the series, and I love that❤ The fact that you remembered that "I have never seen something like that" line from Nami just speaks so much 2.I don't know if they will change it in the LA(I hope they won't) but slavery is *far* from being abolished. Whatsmore, I remember I almost rootted for Arlong in one scene when he was hyping up his men, because he was talking about what they have done to their people and...knowing things just made that scene hit so hard for me xd But yeah, they don't even try to keep it a secret in their world. Some people may not know tho because of the inmense peace in their islands or their location 3.The Garp chase doesn't happen in the anime, but it does make sense why he would do it. It's not only that he wants Luffy to become a marine, it's that pirates are not treated kindly at all by the government. People are saying he doesn't want Luffy to be executed, but other things(Much *much* worse things in my opinion), could happen. Once he gets a bounty, even if it's just 100 berries, he can be send straight to Impel Down, the main prison of the marines. And Garp knows *exactly* what happens in Impel Down. If your grandson told you he wanted to take the risk of going there, you would probably freak out even more than Garp. He wanted to stop him before he became a wanted man. At the end of the episode tho, he realizes Luffy would do anything to become the pirate king, and decides to let him walk his own path, even with what could happen 4.The new tattoo Nami gets to replace Arlong's is a tangerine with a windmill :D In the LA, it's to represent those tangerine windmills her mother made. In the anime, Genzo(The scar guy from her village) had a pinwhill on his hat, and he was like a father to her. This is just a fun fact, I wasn't able to recognize it the first time I saw it until people pointed it out to me so I share it in case others are as blind as me😅 4.I love Helmeppo's character so much(He is not near my favourites tho, I'll make that clear xd). The way he starts to grow as a person makes my heart melt everytime I see it, whether it's in the anime or in the LA 5. 24:29 I believe we all anime watchers recognized who he was at the second we saw smoke xd I think we are all excited to see him!!! I personally love him a lot :3

You can't spoil the past that was confirmed by Garp and basic logic. It is common sense that the marine who is a contemporary of Roger would face off against each other and Garp confirms that they had run ins with each other in the opening scene of the execution If you are a high ranking marine facing off against the King of the pirates do you really think they weren't fighting. From the author himself "I've been working with Tomorrow Studios and Netflix for quite some time now. Even though they understand each of the characters, we obviously come from very different cultures so, when it comes to entertainment, we have different codes, skill sets, and aims. Sometimes it could be frustrating for both sides. It felt like, "We're all trying to get to the same place so how come we're not on the same wavelength?" There was even a time when I thought, "Is a foreign production even possible?" Now, this might seem like it's coming out of nowhere but... we've been hard at work this entire time. And now, each and every entity involved is working in sync. We're finally here! Considering my expected life span, I believe this is the last chance to bring One Piece to the entire world. If we're going to do it, I want to be able to supervise things while I'm still active. That's why I agreed to the live-action adaptation of One Piece back in 2016. Since then, Netflix has committed enormous resources to the production. It was announced that the show will launch in 2023, but they've promised that we won't launch it until I'm satisfied. The entire cast and crew, spanning various countries, are brimming with love for One Piece!! They're burning with passion, and I've reminded everyone involved that this should be fun. We're in the final process! Right now! Of finishing all 8 episodes! We'll be setting sail very soon!" - Eiichiro Oda

Everybody who knows manga and anime knows who Smoker is. BTW his character arc was supposed to be in this very season but it was postponed due to financial and time reasons. If I'm not mistaken this will be the last arc before the entrance to the Grand Line.

Only a few of the CC started the anime right after the LiveAction..so how about a mini collab someday with these three :- Omn1Media, MikeyVenture, Alex and Anime. You might have your own crew in this OnePiece journey.. The longtime fans and CCs in this community are :- RogersBase, Merphy Napier, Jay D Legend, Randy Troy, Randy joined as an advisor/writer for Season 2 as well.. Maybe you can chat with any of them, they are mostly welcoming..

Hell yeah! Next season should start with the very last island on the East Blue (by my estimate), and from Episode 2 onward? GRAND LINE, BABY!!! This season covers about the first 40-something episodes of the Anime! And episodes 68 and 69 for the Marines! And the guy in the end... I CANNOT WAIT to see my BOY in Live Action! Whoever plays him better be a BEAST!

Everyone can have any opinions and guesses in One Piece community. Because that is one of the awesome things about One Piece and that is one of the things the author wanted to be. That why he always drop some hints, some foreshadowing and twists all the time in the manga. There are a lot of discussion about a lot of things in the community all the time. That why some of the One Piece theories/reviews/breakdown channels are so popular in KZbin.

The man at the end with the two cigars is Smoker, who is one tough marine. Unless the live action actually does the Lost Island arc, which was really, really good filler, the straw hats have just one last stop before they reach the grand line, a certain city where Smoker just so happens to be stationed. He'll act as the last major hurdle before our crew finally reaches their first big milestone, entering the grand line.

I dont think they'll do that arc considering that was an anime original and they've been explicit with making sure people know this is an adaption of the manga not the anime. It's kinda sad cause the G8 arc is some of the best filler I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.

@@The_dandy_zombie Well, whatever that is, I look forward to reaching it. I'm new to the anime. Been considering watching for years, but I always let the amount of episodes intimidate me out of it. When live action trailers dropped I finally cracked after seeing what a fun, swashbuckling adventure those trailers made it look like. Friend and I decided to watch both together side by side. See how the LA compares. We finished season 1 right before watching the adaptation and we'll be starting season 2 today or tomorrow. Really loving it and regretting putting it off for so long.

Every time I hear someone say I'll give op anime a try, I feel a chill in my body, (it might sound strange, but there's a big chance this channel will change to a one piece channel)❤️❤️

the power ceiling in one piece is very high. I think Bogard(the guy in the hat who's with garp) could clear out arlong park and the straw hats all by himself at this point.

Devil fruit not just gives power to the person who eats it but also kinda affect/change that person's personality. Luffy is the proof.
@combogalis Жыл бұрын
This is a fan theory, and it's definitely not true. Luffy's personality change very clearly a deliberate choice after learning from Shanks.
@ikon.dadorkkings.3263 Жыл бұрын
@@combogalis it's true tho especially zoan devil fruit users. I can give you a lot of proof.
@ikon.dadorkkings.3263 Жыл бұрын
@@combogalis It might not addressed entirely in the manga but definitely not 100% false like what you said.
@combogalis Жыл бұрын
@@ikon.dadorkkings.3263 You're mixing up correlation and causation. Oda just likes giving people fruits that match their personalities and some characters take the theme of their fruit and purposely run wild with it. **spoilers ahead** Smoker's name was literally Smoker BEFORE he got his devil fruit. The BOA sisters all got snake fruits. Oda just likes a good motif, matching personalities and appearances and names etc. to each other. Adding cause and effect to it is missing the point.

All fandoms have good fans and bad fans. I like One Piece and have been in the fandom for a long time for a long time, so I am undoubtedly biased, but my general experience is that the core of the fandom tends to be a bit older since they aged along with the story, and as a result, that it means many of the messages and storytelling have come to weigh more on them over just the flashy fights and epic power moments that many younger readers are undoubtedly drawn to. It is a series with a many strong aspects beyond 'just fights' such as storytelling, worldbuilding and tearful moments, and this makes it so not all of them are predisposed to just end up in an echo chamber loving just the one obvious thing the creator is good at. And as a result, I feel like having a difference in opinion is pretty common within the fandom, which combined with the general 'lessons' and vibe of the story predisposes people to just accept that others are bound to disagree with them while still loving the story as much as they do.
