We brought in over 20 varieties of Pop-Tarts to eat and attempt guessing each flavor without the assistance of sight.
Every flavor of Pop-Tarts guessed incorrectly would not only be a blow to our pride but increase the difficulty of the challenge later in the eating endeavor!

Q: How do you not gain weight?
A: Endurance sports (primarily running, cycling and some resistance training) and extreme discipline & sacrifice with our daily diets is how we manage not to gain weight. We eat mostly vegetables, fruits, some whole grains and low fat dairy on the days outside these videos. The calories consumed in a food challenge or mukbang are the only calories consumed that day and sometimes the day following as well seeing our appetites are typically shot from so much food and the thought of eating is very off-putting. Two days out we are back to large amounts of vegetables and increase to maintenance from there. We also often eat most of our days calories in a smaller eating window (we frequently bounce between intermittent fasting & OMAD diet as it just seems to work with our lifestyles and eating preferences). Anyone with a larger than normal stomach capacity like us, the drive to push through the discomfort of a challenge like this, and a basic understanding of energy balance (calories in vs calories out) can do it with enough disciple and intention (not that we recommend it).
Also worth mentioning is that we do not exercise to burn the calories consumed in a video but rather we are able to consume higher calorie diets due to our participation in endurance activities and said discipline with our daily diets.
Q: Can you make a “What I eat in a day” / fitness focused video?
A: While we’re sure that type of video will eventually make its way out there, this is not a health and fitness channel and we intend to primarily focus on indulgent food entertainment. We’re still in the very early stages of establishing ourselves within this genre and we’re constantly experimenting and trying to improve upon our style to make our channel a unique experience. Food is our passion while fitness is our discipline so, while we currently only have the availability to produce one quality piece of content a week, fun food-centered videos is where we’ll be focusing our attention (and trust us, it’s more fun for all of us this way). That’s not to say it will never happen, but it’s not a top priority for us.

Yup! Says right on the box they can be enjoyed toasted, frozen, or straight out of the foil 🙂 we tend to prefer them untoasted but we’ve found many different ones are best in different ways!

But personally I think the difficulty in identifying flavours without prior knowledge says more about the authenticity of taste in the products themselves without marketing, packaging and design or decoration to hide behind.

Imitation flavors so often depend on color to clue the eater in as to what they are. I'd love to see you blindfolded try actual fruits, nuts, types of breads, things made without fake flavors. :) Thanks, Mom and her friends!

That you were unable to distinguish the flavour says very little about your palate and a whole lot about whatever PopTarts are using in their list of ingredients. Without the identifying features of colour and texture, you're left with only bleached flour, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, dextrose, sugar, soybean and palm oils. That's refined white carbohydrates, four kinds of sugar, and two types of oil. The only one I was surprised you missed the mark with (repetitively) was cherry. I remember that flavour being super strong and very artificially identifiable as cherry. I haven't eaten a PopTart in 15 years, however
